About

The point every serious collector eventually reaches...

I come from a long line of collectors and my family shares my passion for finding new "treasures" as much as I do. My own collection started when I was 5 with a Lefton piggy bank. Other items soon began to gather...the salt shaker missing it's pepper, the passing down of various items from one generation to the next. I recently gave my 10 year old nephew his first set of shakers after he asked me how I judge their condition...stickers, corks, markings. Anyone who can sit through that talk deserves a vintage prize!

The name of my shop is to honor the memory of one of my favorite collectors/pickers that I had the pleasure of meeting. Bob was a character and his rotating collection was the definition of eclectic. My father and I stopped at his shop every year on our annual road trip to Oklahoma. Bob's wasn't just a shop. It was an institution and monument to the joy of collecting. Dad and I gleaned many lessons on hunting for treasures as well as many "Bobisms" to guide our searches. I like to think that Bob would approve of my little online store. He was one of a kind and greatly missed.

I love collecting various things, but my favorite is pottery from the 1950s in it's many forms. What started as a hobby has become an all-consuming passion. If I could time travel, it'd be to the 1950s in America shopping for these treasures.
