Maggie (bodicegoddess) is amazing, pure and simple. I requested a corset as a gift for my girlfriend and received a work of art. My girlfriend literally teared up when she opened it; that's how beautiful it is. Not only is the corset incredible, but Maggie was terrific to work with. I corresponded with her over several months tweaking the design and getting her information that she needed to work on it (measurements, colors that it needed to go with, etc.) and the entire time, she was pleasant, charming, and professional. I felt well taken care of and it was clear that I was a priority to her. Honestly, without exaggeration, she made me feel like a close friend from start to finish. I would recommend Maggie and her work to anyone without reservation.

About

Just a girl, a sewing machine, and a dream.

I spent a few years making items for friends and for school plays before I finally caved in to the "Why don't you sell this stuff?!" pressure and opened an Etsy shop!
The shop is constantly in a state of flux - it's tough to know what people will want or need, and currently my shop is only open for custom requests, which I have the most fun with anyway. :D
Someday, I hope to open a brick and mortar shop. I just want to be able to hang a shingle that lists my name just above "Lady Proprietress."

Welcome to BodiceGoddess on Etsy, your home for supporting your local Minnesotans, and keeping my hands busy in winter so my fingers don't freeze, and busy in the summer so I have something do do while I sit in the sun.

All of my items are made in a smoke-free home with one cat and one baby. I try to keep them away from projects while I work, but they does tend to be nosy, especially when it comes to yarn and bright, bold colors.

All items made for children on this shop are CPSIA compliant; all products are handmade with fabrics, threads and yarns that are safe for children.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card

  • Buy with Apple Pay

Payment
Payment is acceptable via PayPal and by check to my address, and must arrive before I ship the item. Tax is included in the cost via the new checkout options offered by Etsy!

In the case of custom requests, I expect at least half of the order price before I can begin the project, and the full purchase price before shipping. I can work out a payment plan with you during that time.
Shipping
I will confirm the order with you with pictures of the item before shipping, and ship via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping information in the item listing is the sum total of shipping and handling charges.

Admittedly, I have had a history of not shipping things in a timely manner. If I have not shipped your ready-made item 30 days from the purchase date, I will issue a complete refund for the item and ship it to you at my cost. You, as a customer, should not have to pay for my shortcomings.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds and exchanges will be handled on a case-to-case basis. Please contact bodicegoddess with further questions.

If you have a problem with any of my work upon receipt of the item, let me know. I don't want to be that "well, it's yours now; deal with it" guy. I'd like to think I have a "Lifetime Alterations Guaranteed." If you have any problem, tell me, and I'll see what I can do to fix it. Hell, I may even replace it if it's my own fault.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom and wholesale orders are encouraged! For any further questions, thoughts, or comments, please contact bodicegoddess.
