Good Vibes and Quality Products

Bohemian Fringe first started out of my Mom's basement, where my sister and I worked on creating quality, durable, affordable, and stylish necklaces that people could wear every day. As a true bohemian at heart, I feel very grateful to be able to make eclectic, laid back jewelry, that brings people joy and a sense of togetherness.

We have always been committed to using the best quality materials, so you know your necklace will last. We hope that fast fashion is a way of the past- its all about a simple aesthetic, that you'll always love. We are concerned for the environment, so we are constantly finding more ways to make ethically grounded and environmentally conscious decisions; from 100% recyclable packaging, to sourcing many of our chains and pendant materials from the USA. Furthermore, we walk to the post office, and recycle everything we can in our workshop.

After many years of taking Bohemian Fringe on the road with me (filling orders in small town public libraries, making necklaces at the beach, stamping bar necklaces in my car), I have settled down, and setup in a workshop in Victoria, BC (on an island on the West coast) and I have a couple of wonderful women working with me part time (including my Mom!). We are all committed to making excellent quality necklaces, and to making sure you are happy with your experience and your expectations are exceeded. We really really care!

My name is Tasha and I'm an avid designer/creator/artist of many things.

Helping me run Bohemian Fringe are:
-Iminah: helps package, and is an extremely talented flamenco guitarist musician and lovely woman.
-Cookie: my spirited and mischievous Malamute/Belgian Shepherd pup.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
I want you to LOVE your new items! So, if you are not happy with the item you receive, please send me a note. I accept returns/exchanges for 14 days from when you receive your item.

RETURNS:
We accept unworn/unpersonalized returns and/or exchanges within 14 days of when your package was delivered, with the following exceptions:
- Returns are NOT accepted on personalized pieces, unless we made an error.
- For custom orders, returns are handled on an item-by-item basis.
-We do not refund shipping upgrades.

HOW TO RETURN:
- Please contact us to setup a return via the "contact shop" button, or the contact shop owner link.
- Do NOT just send it back.
- Please pack the item carefully... if it gets destroyed or "falls out" of the envelope in transit I am not responsible.
- Returns will process in approximately 2 weeks (depending on shipping times for us to receive it).

For returns, we refund the purchase price minus a $5 restocking fee.


EXCHANGES: INCORRECT LENGTH
- If you did not order the correct length, you can send it back to us and we will adjust it for you for a “re-work” fee of $5 USD per item. You will also have to pay for the shipping fees to send it back to you.
- Please contact us via the "contact shop" button, or the contact shop owner link to arrange payment and shipping for a length exchange.

EXCHANGES: FOR A DIFFERENT ITEM
- We accept unworn/unpersonalized exchanges on orders within 14 days of when your package was delivered.
- Standard shipping rates apply
- Please contact us via the "contact shop" button, or the contact shop owner link to arrange an exchange.
- If you ordered the wrong stamping, I will try to come up with a fair re-work fee for an exchange, but it will be close to the same price of re-ordering.

WE CANNOT REFUND SHIPPING UPGRADES IF YOUR ITEM DOES NOT ARRIVE ON TIME. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SLOWER THAN USUAL MAIL TIMES.

Canada Post has suspended their shipping time guarantees during the pandemic, so we appreciate your patience while the postal service does their work. We hope you are staying safe and healthy out there!

American & Canadian orders: ship with Canada Post.
-Shipping times are normally 7-16 business days within Canada, 10-21 days in the USA. These times are still being affected by the pandemic! Some orders are taking 6 weeks to arrive, though most packages take the normal amount of time to arrive.
-If you need your order by a specific date, please let us know! Please don't rely on the automated shipping time estimates, as we are unable to change those.
-We are located on an island in Canada's Pacific coast.
-Shipping to remote locations in Canada can take up to 21 days in the mail at normal times, and it is taking longer now due to the pandemic.
-Shipping to far-away places in the USA (like the Southeastern states) can take up to 30 days at normal times, and right now it's taking quite a bit longer with regular shipping
-Customers have the option to upgrade to express post- just ask me!
-No tracking unless you upgrade to a tracked packet or faster shipping

International orders: ship with Canada Post
-Shipping times are slower at the moment, on average 4-10 weeks to Europe, while other locations vary*** Due to the pandemic, current estimates to Australia are 6-12 weeks!
-Tracking available for an extra fee
-We are not responsible for customs fees, duty, etc.
***International (not USA) shipping times can vary greatly.
Occasionally packages can be delayed up to 60 business days, but the usual transit time is 14-30 days. When traveling across a border, packages occasionally get held up at customs. We do NOT have any control over this. If you are abroad, please understand that your package may be delayed up to 10 weeks. This is uncommon. Once we've shipped your package, we can't do anything with it once it's in the hands of customs officials and your country's postal service...and sometimes they unfortunately are very slow. The pandemic situation is causing more delays, so we kindly ask for your patience during these unusual times.

*** Please note that if your package is lost in the mail, we will try to resend it after the extended window for delayed packages has passed. Refunding lost mail is done on a case-by-case basis now that covid is wreaking havoc on the mail system's reliability. If we ship it a second time, we are not able to refund your order if the second shipment does not arrive. We do not refund shipping costs. We do our best to make sure you get your order, but unfortunately we can't control the shipping portion of the journey!
*** Please also note that due to the pandemic, we cannot predict how long packages may get held up. We cannot control the shipping process, and any re-attempts will be subject to a waiting period beyond our normal estimates.

I am very sorry to say that I have stopped taking orders from Bulgaria, Russia, Mexico and other countries in Central and South America. This is not a political decision. I wish I could successfully ship necklaces to you! The issue is that mail keeps going missing, and even if I try to send the package again, it still does not arrive to its destination. My sincerest apologies.
