Returns and exchanges
With over a hundred sales under Ellen's belt at Artlife that have shipped without a hitch, we are thinking the mailing gods are smiling down on BOOKLIFE & ARTLIFE! That said if anything bad does happen, refunds and exchanges are available on damaged or lost items:

---[Damaged]---

Please contact us right away if your order has been damaged during shipment. It will be your responsibility to return the damaged item(s) in the state you received it within 5 days of receipt of your order.

---[Lost Items]---

If you suspect your order is lost in the mail, it is YOUR responsibility to notify me.

---[Case by Case]---

If you are unhappy for any other reason, refunds and exchanges (minus any shipping costs) are dealt with on a case-by-case basis provided the item is returned to me in like new condition. Our final goal is that you be happy with your purchase.
Payment
---[PayPal, Checks (in US dollars), USPS Money Orders]---

PayPal payment is HIGHLY preferred, but we also accept checks (in US dollars) and United States Postal Service Money Orders. Please be aware that after you purchase an item through Etsy, you still need to click the "Pay with PayPal" or "Pay with Check or Money Order” button in order to complete the payment process.

---[E-Checks]---

You can pay by credit card even if you do not have a PayPal account. This method is called an “E-Check”. If you pay by PayPal E-Check, I will ship when the E-Check clears, which usually takes 3-5 business days.

---[Sales Tax]---

Virginia Residents are subject to 5% sales tax. This will be added on automatically at PayPal. If you are paying by check or money order and are a VA resident, please add 5% to your total!

---[3 Days to Pay]---

It is HIGHLY preferred that you pay WHEN you buy, however you have 3 days to make the payment. If you are paying by check or money order, please let us know when you have mailed your payment. After 3 days if we haven't received payment or communication we will cancel the sale and relist the item.

---[Cleared Payment]---

Payment MUST be received AND cleared before your order is shipped.

Shipping
---[Etsy Address]---

We will ship ONLY to the address provided through Etsy unless you note otherwise. This means if your PayPal address differs from the address you've provided on Etsy, we will ship to the Etsy provided address. Please use the order notes ("notes to seller") box to let us know any special request or change of shipping address from the address you gave to Etsy.

---[Gift Shipments]---

If you are sending an item(s) directly to someone as a gift, we am more than happy to include a gift enclosure card with a special message from you. Just put any special instructions in the ("notes to seller") box (including the address of the person you would like the gift to be shipped to) during checkout.

---[First-Class USPS]---

We ship First-Class USPS mail with Delivery Confirmation within the US. International shipments will be shipped First Class International.

---[Shipping Upgrades]---

If you require faster service and/or insurance, please inquire at the time of purchase in the (“notes to seller”) box and specify all of the shipping upgrades you require. A revised invoice with the cost adjustment for your preferred shipping will be emailed to you.

---[International Shipping]---

We DO ship internationally outside the US. Be aware that all items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and the assessment of duties and taxes in accordance with that country's national laws. You are responsible for all duties and taxes incurred. We will gladly refund any shipping overages exceeding $1.00 USD if you ask.

---[Shipping Notification]---

We will let you know by email and/or convo the details of your order and the date we’ll be shipping your order out.
