About

Welcome to Bora Knits, offering hand-dyed yarn and handmade knitwear!

I'm getting my PhD in Immunology, and I make hand-dyed yarn using various hand painting and kettle dye methods. I'm an avid knitter, and not ashamed to admit I'm a bit of a yarn snob! I bring my passion for beautiful color combinations and the precision of my lab work to my dye works. Located in the foothills of the Appalachians, I draw a lot of inspiration from the beauty around me. But I also draw from my own imagination a lot, especially in the winter when I wish I was somewhere warmer!

All my yarns and knitwear are made in a smoke free home, but I do have my Pippa Pup around! While I store all things knitting in closed containers and Pips isn't in the dye studio when I'm working, please buy with caution if you have allergies.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments, interest in custom dye orders, or commission knits! Also if you have questions about yarn bases, please contact me.

For more of my knitting and yarns, see my Instagram at boraknits.

Thanks!
-Stephanie

Welcome to Bora Knits hand-dyed yarn shop! Everything I make comes from a smoke-free home. But I do have a lovely pup, Pippa. While I do store my supplies in closed containers, buy with caution if you have allergies.

My goal is to provide you high-quality, beautiful yarn that reflects my love of all things knitting! I dye yarn in tiny batches, so each batch will vary a bit. So be sure to purchase all the yarn you think you'll need for a project at one time so I can ensure they'll be from the same dye batch.

Don't hesitate to convo me if you have any questions, comments, or requests. I'd love to hear from you :)
