EverEmblem offers fabric tags in two main types:

COTTON LABELS
- printed with textile ink (full color) onto white cotton fabric and have a laminated back to prevent fraying.
- number of labels per set depends on the size of each individual label

SATIN LABELS
-printed with black ink onto white satin ribbon
-washable at any temperature
-fold over labels only - cut ribbon edges need to be sewn into a seam or turned under to prevent unraveling

1. remove the paper backing from the tag and put on item

2. Using a hot, dry iron, heat the tag on the item for the recommended time:
Regular iron on: 3 seconds
Heavy iron on: 15 seconds

*note - longer times do not equal better adhesion, following the heating times exactly is the key to a strong bond

3. do not touch or move the item for a full two minutes OR until the item is cool

**this is the most important part** if the item is moved while still warm the adhesive will separate and the label will come off. Once the adhesive is fully cooled the tags will be adhered.

Resist the urge to check the corners of the tag until it is fully cooled :)

Please wait at least 24 hours before washing items with tags applied.

Most problems with iron on tags not sticking are due to the adhesive not cooling completely before the tag is moved.

If the item is moved or the tag corners are lifted while the adhesive is still warm, the glue will separate and the tag will come off. The adhesive layer must fully cool to have a strong bond.

Resist the urge to check label adhesion until the tag is completely cool :)

*heating the tags for the exact time on the package is also crucial for a strong bond. longer heating will not result in a stronger bond, but will damage the adhesive and prevent the label from sticking.

The font options are found as one of the product images for each label design. Etsy does not have a font preview tool, but we have a website that allows you to try our fonts with your text to better visualize your labels

We can print your logo or design. The file must be ready to print (no editing of file needed beyond cropping).

*Screenshots are not recommended - they are only 72 dpi and will print out "Fuzzy" → Using the original file and exporting to a pdf or a high resolution JPEG will provide the best print.

We have two types of labels that can be printed with your logo:

COTTON→ printed in color (flat or folded tags, sew on or iron on, machine wash delicate)

Cotton sew on labels are printed with an 1/8" border around the design to allow you to sew them on your item.

Remove the paper backing from the tag just before using. This exposes the laminated backing that prevents the cotton from fraying when washed.

Either hand or machine sew around the edge of label (no need to completely secure the edges with a zig-zag; the backing will prevent fraying). Using a straight stitch works for securing, or get creative with embroidery floss of fancy stitches :)

Satin tags are printed with black ink onto a white satin ribbon.

Satin tags come precut and ready to use - the cut edges need to be secured into a seam or turned under to prevent the ribbon from unraveling.

Satin tags are black ink only and gray tones will not print. Very detailed designs are not suitable for satin printing.
