Announcement   My name is Brian, and I am Borderline Designs. I am the one who draw the designs, screen-prints in my basement, sews patches onto things, and makes vinyl decals. I do everything myself, and I do not send anything out to third party companies. I take blank apparel and make it into something awesome with my own two hands. So when you support BLD it is not supporting just a concept, but more than that. BLD is full of creative ideas, as well as skills and capabilities to hand produce great products.

About

BLD makes cool things for cool people

Borderline Designs (BLD for short) started when I learned how to screen print in high school, 3 years ago now. I really fell in love with the process and printing in general. I started making t-shirts for all kinds of people, mostly client based commissions. Then I started making designs just for myself and not for a commission. I found I really liked designing and printing my own shirts and other things. People started getting stoked on the different designs, and I continued to explore new methods of making things. I have always been experimenting with new products, processes, and techniques. I started with screen printing just on shirts, now I do so many other things. I print patches and sew them on all sorts of things like hats, new clothes, and vintage flannels. I am constantly trying new things with my own abilities in design and production. Borderline Designs is all about me making things myself. Apart from a little help from a few friends, BLD is a one-man mission.

It all started in my basement in Connecticut with minimal equipment, and now that I go to Champlain College up in Burlington, VT, I have expanded my brand up in Vermont as well. I still keep things small, and limited. Borderline Designs will always remain personal and handmade.

Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ's
Do you make the hats, shirts, sweatshirts from scratch?
No, unfortunately with my sewing and production capabilities it is impossible for me to produce high quality knit wear or hats. i simply take blank apparel and create something new and fresh from it. i screen print, and sew the patches 100% myself, but I do take pre made garments as a canvas for my designs.

Collaborations?
Yes, I am completely for artist collaborations, if you are an artist or a creative type that wants to work together to make something awesome, just contact me through the contact section here on Etsy. All I want to do is create original product, and if someone else wants to join me, great.

why is everything hand numbered
I believe that the hand numbering of items represents a connection to the maker of the item. It represents exclusivity, care for an item, and a nice custom touch. I am being forthright it stating my products exist in limited runs. This makes each hand numbered item unique, and special. In an effort to continually evolve, once a style is sold out i will not make any more of that particular style and colorway again. It is my guarantee to the buyer, that the exclusivity defined on the tag is legitimate.

What is one of one?
One of One is my custom line. each product in that line is completely unique, with only one like it ever made. No one else will have the the same product. A 1/1 tag is truly unique, that really is the only one of its kind.
