A little bit about me; I was born and raised here in the great state of Alaska. I'm surrounded by beauty everyday and I'll never take that for granted. As a child, I lived on a large parcel of land that my grandparents homesteaded. I would spend my days fishing in the lake, catching minnows in the creek (coming out out the creek pulling leeches of my legs, ewww), climbing trees, catching frogs, and exploring the woods.

After high school, I worked as a school photographer for a national company and absolutely loved it. It allowed me some creativity while interacting with the children. Sometimes I would even get to travel to remote villages and towns around Alaska which was an amazing opportunity,

After a few years of doing that, I decided I wanted to try something different and really spread my wings. I decided to serve my country in the U.S. Navy as a military police officer. I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and did one deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. During training for Guantanamo, I met my now husband. After the Navy, we moved to South Florida for a couple years, where he was born and raised. Jobs at the time were not great as the economy had dipped. We moved up to Alaska and he was able to nail down a state job.

I'm lucky to stay at home with my two girls and take care of the home while running my shop here on Etsy.
