Super-sweet piece, and obviously made by a very skilled stitcher. The squirrel's fur is so neat and lifelike - the photos really don't do it justice. Highly recommended, I already have my eye on one of the chicken hoops!

About

*stands up. coughs* 'My name is Hayley, and I am addicted to sewing.'

Born Restless started as a way to pass time on long train rides across the country while at university, but soon developed into much more.

Over time I started experimenting with different styles and subjects and discovered new stitches and ways to create more detailed embroideries. Each piece I completed I would frame and store under my bed, not really intending to do anything with them.
I started selling through craft fairs across the North West of England, partly to make some spare cash and partly to clear some room! I was amazed to find that people actually wanted to buy my work and soon I was starting to take requests for custom pieces.
I really enjoyed chatting to fellow stallholders and was inspired by their creative stories. I started to realise that maybe, just maybe my quiet hobby could become a business.....

Fast forward to 2016, and four days out of seven you can be sure to find me tucked behind my craft desk with the radio for company, endless pots of tea (english breakfast, easy on the milk), my fluffy cat Olive sleeping on my knee and surrounded by colourful threads and my latest big project.
Absolute bliss!

Today
I sew to de-stress and shut out the sound of the world
I sew to ease anxiety and keep my restless hands busy
I sew to distract myself from endlessly eating biscuits (!)
I sew to find answers to my problems
I sew to keep out of trouble...

Thanks for reading about how Born Restless came to be.
Please do get in touch if you'd like to learn more or if you have any questions about my work.

Hayley xxx
