I was searching for a gift for my wife when I came upon the Leso Caftan. I knew that my wife would love the flowing and pretty design. I contacted Bosa Modest about sizes and they were extremely helpful - they customized the order exceeding my expectations. They sent me images of four different Leso fabrics that they had imported from East Africa. Not only did I have options for color and design, but they also translated the Swahili sayings found on each of the Leso Fabrics. In East Africa, women collect the "Leso of the Month", showcasing the various messages. I picked one that translates to "The joy of the heart is to have someone that truly cares for you". The dress was ready within two days and arrived in about 5 days. My wife is immensely pleased as she can wear the dress to relax at home or out with her friends. :-)

Your source for custom hand made women's fashions

We are a mother-daughter team who make and design ladies wear influenced by local and world fashions. Each of our designs is carefully handcrafted locally in Maryland so you can be sure of a unique and high quality product.

Mom and I design and sew because we like the challenge. We actually hand draw our own patterns. So to be able to have an idea, and then translate that idea onto paper and then into something tangible is very rewarding to us. And to be able to see other people appreciate what we have made is an added bonus. Because we do not use commercial patterns, we are able to let our imaginations run wild. This allows us to come up with unique designs that have been an instant draw when customers see our items. Our ability to draw our own patterns also means that it is easy for us to take on custom orders. We have made custom clothes for several customers and the prices for custom orders are only slightly higher than the prices for our ready-made items. And we are able to have custom orders ready in a reasonable amount of time. This is what makes us special. It is not very often that you see a dress that you like and then have it customized to fit you!

The whole family has pitched in to make Bosa Modest Wear a success! While mom and I are busy designing, the men in the family take care of making sure that the business keeps growing....from marketing to transport and other logistics.
