Although I've been tardy in writing this review - this artist is not in shipping! The painting is beautiful and arrived very well packaged and well marked (so the shipping guys new what they had coming). n nThanks Emily for yet another chance to experience what you do so profoundly well. n nBon courage!

About

Occupied in unemployment

As a child growing up, I always wanted to be an artist. As I grew up, I tweaked this to *starving* artist.
But then I went to school, albeit for Psychology (though I did entertain the idea of Art History). I thought I needed an education to get a good job to support myself, and with that thought went all desire to create things.

For years, more than I care to think of, I did not make a thing. I studied, eventually graduated with a Bachelor, and suddenly... NOTHING. There WERE no jobs for me, a bachelor in Psychology gives you virtually nothing, especially when you barely managed a half decent average (that exact detail will remain unknown).

So, saddled with a hefty debt and nothing to show for it, I began thinking of other ways to make a living. Whilst "winging it", I started creating again. Photography first, and then, at long last, painting and drawing. It didn't come back to me easy, but it's coming back.

Before I knew it, I had accumulated numerous items, pictures on my computer and sketches in several notebooks, canvases half complete. I was waking up and thinking of what to draw that day, what colours to use, what techniques to try-
Hold on, did my childhood dream come true? Was I really... a Starving Artist?

It was almost serendipitous, the way things have worked out. Of course, this is not an occupation, so to speak. This is not my income, but a hobby, and after some thought I decided to begin to sell.

I have been selling art online and offline for a couple years now, my name slowly getting out there enough that I am now also an artist in a new medium: Tattooing! I spent some time as an apprentice and it has broadened my horizons in terms of overall design in artwork.

I have been making art (and other things) since I have been able to control my hands well enough to use a pencil. I enjoy experimenting with new mediums and techniques, with my fair share of failure and success in doing so. Busy hands are happy hands

Shop policies

Last updated on May 16, 2015
Everything I make is handmade by me, everything is one of a kind and unique. Nothing is framed, as this is just too much money, and drives up the cost of shipping and the cost of buying. Paper arts will be shipped with backboard and in plastic coverings to protect the works, also with a tab on the back for hanging, should you be satisfied with simple presentation (like myself).
The cost of my items are to cover the costs of producing them, shipping them, and to afford more materials and maybe a meal or two while I'm at it. I don't do this to make a living, each piece is a piece of me, and it is always hard to part with them.

I do my best to package my art and label it accordingly to avoid destruction. Because of this cost, I do not offer refunds. If the piece is lost or damaged in transit, it is just as much a loss to me as you (I know, you're Paying for it, but I spent the time making it).
Additional policies and FAQs
Each piece of original hand-made by myself. These are not prints, they are original art works. Requests are welcome without deposit, reserved for you until you either purchase or decide against it (then it will simply open up for sale to everyone else).

Because I also sell offline at shows, some items may disappear without notice. My items are one-offs, but I may do repeated listings for similar items, so if one of your favourite items disappears, keep an eye out for it's twin!
