About

We make items that make your life better!

Like so many other WAHM-owned businesses, Boulevard Designs started because I wanted to stay home with my kids. When my employer declined to let me work from home, I quit my job and I turned what had been a casual hobby into a thriving business. I opened Wallypop, which is my main business. A few years later, I decided to open up an Etsy shop, as well.

At Wallypop/Boulevard Designs, we make products that make your life better! We started out with baby carriers that are comfortable and affordable and great-fitting cloth diapers that don't let you down.

After my youngest was born with kidney failure, I started making for others all the fun, helpful items I was designing for our own use. These products let you sleep more at night, help your children be more accepting of their medical devices, protect your privacy when in public, and improve your life in ways you didn't even know you needed!

Hello! I'm Sarah. I opened Wallypop, the sister store to Boulevard Designs, in 2004 when my oldest was born, and have been working from home ever since! Our youngest has medical needs and is the inspiration behind many of our special needs items!

Frequently asked questions
What are the tags with writing on some of your products?

Over ten years ago, the US Congress passed the CPSIA law, which includes many consumer protections, particularly for children's products. On products that fit CPSIA's definition of a children's product, we include labels with cohort, tracking, and date information as required by law. (Tracking means that I can track the materials used in the item back to the supplier and date purchased from the supplier, not that it's tracked after the sale.)

Are you buying children's products without this information? That's not only illegal, but potentially dangerous. Buy your children's products only from sellers who are compliant with US Safety laws.

Do you make masks to protect from germs?

I do not. After extensive research, I came to the conclusion that regular fabric simply does not provide the protection from germs that people want. Further, I would not feel right about selling a product that I wasn't certain would work well - and I'm certain that a face mask made from two or three layers of regular fabric absolutely wouldn't work well. I recommend buying one of the major brands of reusable masks - these masks have been tested against industry or government standards for filtering micro particles, and can promise you the protection you need.
