Announcement   Welcome to my shop. My pottery is my passion! Each piece is individually crafted. I call it open work pottery. The bowls are all oven/micro/ dishwasher safe. I consider them functional art for your table. The bowls make excellent fruit bowls as the air can circulate. They are also excellent as bread warmers or bakers.
Glaze colors available are: white, black, cobalt blue,& beige.Combo. colors are: blue/green,blue/white,& red/aqua. I can do custom color combinations on request.
Many of my bowls have calculated shipping, mostly its accurate, but if it seems unusually high, let me know your zip before placing the order, and I can check into shipping options for you. You can click on the options, if you live far from FL, parcel post may be significantly cheaper than priority mail.
I hope you enjoy having them in your home, using them, and giving them as gifts. Each piece comes with inserts which tell about my work and the guidelines for using them in you oven. All bowls are oven/microwave safe and will retain whatever temperature you set your oven at to keep your bread warm. You can bake bread in them, coat the bowl with cooking spray, let the dough rise, and it will take on the shape of the bowl. Flip it over to serve and it will have an interesting pattern, as well as hold the heat from the oven.

They also make a wonderful aerated fruit bowl, keeping your fruit fresher longer. The airy designs really extend the life of your fruit and vegetables.

Many of the pieces have sculptured elements incorporated into the designs. I specialize in crafting unique pieces for my customers. Please don't hesitate to email me about creating a special bowl for you.

Feel free to email for a list of my craft fairs. If you are in Florida, look for me at the Wednesday market in St. Augustine at the pier park, 8am-12:30. In the summer months, I am usually at Riverside Arts Market in Jacksonville the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, Fernandina Beach Arts Market on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

About

Bowls with Holes

I have always been in love with clay, ever since I discovered the unique qualities of the material when I was a teenager in a high school art class. I just knew it was what I was meant to work with , and set out to find a way to make a living working with clay.
About the same time , I met and fell in love with my husband , who coincidently is named Art ! He had been disabled from a car accident, and was unable to find work. He spent many days asking me questions about working with clay. When I told him you couldn't do certain things , he didn't take no for an answer. In short, he helped me to question techniques, and taught me to push the boundaries of the material. I in turn , taught him everything I knew about clay, and somehow... , we ended up in business together, and have been doing it, and loving it for thirty six years now!...I consider our work to be functional sculpture for your table. Affordable works of art that everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

Custom and personalized orders

I am happy to create custom bowls. I usually do not charge extra for these, as I just enjoy doing different bowls for my customers. If you see a style you like, and would just like something different on your bowl style, the price reflected on that style will be the price. Don't hesitate to contact me with your ideas.
