Announcement   Welcome to my shop, thanks for visiting.

I'm back!!! Well kind of. I am back in Canada after a year of travel, and artist residencies, and sporadic studio time. While I do not currently have regular access to a glass studio, I have been able to make some more toothbrush holders. I am travelling a little bit in July, but I will still be able to ship orders throughout the month.

As for some actual news, at the end of August I will be moving to Vancouver, BC, Canada, and will be working as the Shop Supervisor at Terminal City Glass Co-op! Aside from soaking in the sun/rain (or whatever you get in the Pacific Northwest), I will have regular studio access, so you can pepper me with questions and special requests, and I will actually be able to make new things for you. It's good times all round!

Send me a message if you have questions. And if there is a particular colour you may be interested in, contact me, and hopefully I can help you out.

Thanks

beautiful piece of art that is functional. I wanted a single toothbrush holder so that i wasn't rrreminded first thing every am and last thing every pm that I'm alone and this not only accomplishes that, but is soothing to look at.

About

One step at a time...

I've been working with hot glass since my early years of art school in 2002. Since then I have been working as hard as I can to stay in the game. This material has taken me quite far, from Calgary to Toronto, to NY state, to Belgium and The Netherlands.

I'm not going to lie, it is a hard lifestyle trying to make a career as a glass artist. It is an expensive material to stay involved with. To the younger generation of makers such as myself, it is best not to own your own studio, but work out of other's as you get the chance, slowly building a career until one day you can support your own practice. It is a slow process that requires enduring perseverance. I have done well, with the best artist residency in Canada, and a full scholarship to a very well-respected MFA program. It has given me plenty of opportunity to develop and refine new work rather than continually relying on the first design that sells. This allows me to continue working within my own vision, hopefully contributing to material culture beyond the simple addition of objects.

The toothbrush holders I mainly sell on Etsy have supplemented my practice throughout the years. They are an object I stand by, and am proud to put my name on. It is difficult to create an original, yet affordable glass object, but I hope I have succeeded with these. I produce them when I have regular access to a glass blowing studio.
