Branchbound's Roots

My passion is jewelry; I've always loved looking at it and buying various pieces. When I am down, I buy a necklace. For holidays 9 times out of 10 my friends give me earrings. A few years ago I decided to make my own.

The pieces in my shop are mostly made of lace. I've always loved the look of lace. Though, as you can see, I also dabble in all kinds of materials; from wood to metal to stones to plastic. I love and collect jewelry of all kinds; all types of metal, colors of the rainbow, animals, plants, geometric designs, typography, vintage, antique, modern...I get inspired by anything and everything.

My process begins with the material itself, which is usually lace. I look at it and think, how big is this? What do I want to use it for? How should this lay on the neck or head or wrist? How long will this dangle from the ear? How will that look? Should I add something to it? What colors should it come in? I let their shapes give me ideas for what I want to use it for and how I want the finished product to look.
