My name is Nathan Bray. In 2003 I was diagnosed with an auto immune viral arthritis which no longer allowed me to continue working as a construction electrician. At the time I was into airbrushing with paint on metal and plastic. I decided to go back to school for business and art. I took a ceramics class and got the studio technician position which forced me to learn about the processes and I got hooked on it. I received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Bemidji State University . I have been a resident artist at the Carbondale Clay Center and have received a Jerome Foundation project grant through the Northern Clay Center. I enjoy making art and am happy to be in the garden during the summer. I hope you enjoy the colors, they are bright and fun. I live in northern Minnesota with my wife, our cat and some chickens.
All of this pottery is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe. I fire all of the work to cone 3 in an electric kiln which is about 2100 degrees. These pots are very durable for everyday use and abuse.
