Announcement   BreadandRoses2 goods are well made in the U.S.A. & authentically handcrafted in my one-woman workshop from start to finish. Built to last. Finite run small batches & one-off pieces are designed/engineered using vintage textiles, reclaimed components. All have stories to tell & miles to go.

Much time is spent searching the back roads of rural Ohio for these vintage materials. Pricing reflects the copious effort devoted to procurement & hand processing of materials: deconstructing vintage objects, laundering, ironing & testing integrity of fabric, all prior to the actual designing, creating, engineering. This is what authentic handmade is all about.

Diane was incredibly generous with her time in discussing, designing, and testing my custom laptop bag, and the result is even better than I hoped. In addition to the perfect fit for my most critical things, she paid careful attention to details: the shoulder strap has two segments so that the metal fasteners never press on my shoulderbone; the antique metal clasp is positioned just right so I can close it with one hand; the pocket for my notebook is the perfect depth so it's always right at the top where I can lift it out without rummaging. She also included thoughtful additions, like extra pockets on the sides and back of the bag, and even gift wrapped the whole thing!

As always, Diane's work is beautiful. More than that. I said this in an earlier review but I'll say it again: I think of the doll clothes my great-grandmother sewed for my grandmother. There's just something about the attention to detail--as if Diane is sewing a one-of-a-kind piece for a loved one. Her work makes you feel loved and lucky.

The clutches and pouches are truly beautiful. The workmanship is extraordinary and attention to vintage detail delightful. Every piece is special. Shipping was fast and all communication with BreadnRoses2 was great.
