About me

I am Brenda Sanker of Sanker Studio, formerly The Vintage Polka Dot. I've been creating whimsically primitive folk art style dolls for over 25 years. I have been published in Stampington's PRIMS magazine (2010) and my graphics were published in Stampington's Somerset Studio (2010).
Making things has always been a part of my life. Coloring, drawing and making things were not only fun, it was my refuge.
I love earthy things like rocks, tree, moss and wild flowers. I like quiet solitude more than I want to admit. I'm a bit of an eccentric; quirky if you will. I try to think outside the box about everything including life. All this said, it's one reason I create and showcase my dolls online, it helps prevent me from becoming a total recluse! ha! Truth!
