About

Briarhill Jewelry: Simply Beautiful Jewelry for Simply Beautiful Women...

I began making jewelry in November of 2011. I had been unable to work as an artist for several months, and was thrilled to be able to string beads and make some home made Christmas gifts for my family.

Beads are contagious....I loved what I was doing so much, that I found myself buying and stringing beads long after Christmas had come and gone...then I discovered all that could be done with wire and beads. I was hooked. Everyone who saw my jewelry loved it, and wanted to buy it. Hmm, I thought-could I turn this into a business?

Copper is my favorite metal....I have a metal sculptor son who gave me some of his scrap bits of copper, and showed me what to do with them....the hook got set deeper!

In March of 2012, I opened my Etsy shop, and have been working hard since to fill it with beautiful, one of a kind artisan jewelry. It's been an interesting journey so far, one where I have stretched myself and grown incredibly as a person and an artist.

Briarhill Jewelry Works is a part of something larger. My home studio is called Briarhill. The studio is full of drawings and paintings, paper, canvas, easels and now, gorgeous beads and metal-and the tools to go with it.

We live on a beautiful hill in Lower Kettle Moraine, southeastern Wisconsin. We (my husband Scott and I) have loved one another and raised our kids in it's shelter for 24 years. Our house is set on 2.5 acres-the yard is my "outside" art. Large sun and shade gardens abound, and folks stop by just to walk the paths and enjoy the peace.

There was and is always a creative project going on at Briarhill. Our children both grew up to become artists, and now nieces and nephews and a little grandson come to make things, and to explore the woods and learn about what it means to be a creative being.

I write a blog called "A View From Briarhill"...simple musings about creativity and abundance. Briarhill is all about creativity-exploring for yourself, and sharing it with others.

Owner, I Am The Jack Of All Trades, Wearer Of All Hats In My Company...I Love It!

I am a self-taught sort of artist, and former fine artist. I hurt my neck and shoulder from over use with a drawing pencil and paint brush, and could not work - being desperate for a way to express myself creatively, jewelry making found me....

Welcome to Briarhill....my studio is in the heart of the beautiful Kettle Moraine Forest, in Southeastern Wisconsin. I specialize in one of a kind, hand crafted jewelry. I work primarily in semi-precious stone, copper and silver.. These materials are naturally and simply elegant, and uniquely beautiful, and I find myself drawn to them over and over again....

Shipping
I make every effort to ship within 24 hours, Mon-Fri. If you should place an order on the weekend, it will be shipping on Monday morning. I will notify you when your item ships, or if for some reason I am delayed beyond 24hours.

Your purchase will arrive in a lovely gift box with a ribbon, and be secured inside a small cardboard box packed with soft shipping materials. I want it to arrive at your house in perfect condition!

I ship USPS first class mail.. Purchases over $50 are insured. I am happy to upgrade to priority mail, as long as the buyer assumes the additional expense.

International Buyers: Please note that you are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do accept refunds within 1 week of purchase. The buyer assumes the expense for shipping the item back to me.

I fully warranty my work. If your jewelry should become damaged for any reason, just ship it to me and I will repair it for you free of charge and ship it back to you. The only cost to you is shipping it to me. The only exception to this would be lost stones. Semi-precious stones are unique and often one of kind-they can also be expensive. I may not be able to duplicate the stones, or if I can, there would be a charge for the cost of the stones. I want you to love your jewelry and know that I stand behind everything I make.

My customers are Very Important People, and I will do my best to provide great customer service!
