    Hope for a Brighter Day

    I have many hopes for this new venture called Brighter Day Ceramics. First and foremost is to bring light and laughter into people's lives and help make their homes their happy place.
    When I was eleven years old (a very long time ago!) I was introduced to the world of ceramics by my aunts who owned a shop in Stoughton, MA. I was hooked the first time I picked up a paint brush. I had discovered my creative side. For the next twelve years I spent weekends and school vacations working in the shop. I learned all aspects of the creative process: slip casting, cleaning and firing, glaze and acrylic designing (my specialty was eyes). I got my first taste of being an educator (I’ve been in the field of education for 30 years) by teaching painting techniques to adult ceramic students.
    When my aunt died in 2017, I inherited her kiln and other various supplies. It didn’t take long for me to realize how much I had missed this part of my life. It has been quite therapeutic, bringing joy and light back into my life.
    With support and encouragement from family and friends, I jumped feet first into this entrepreneurial adventure in September 2018. I invite you to climb aboard and journey with me into a brighter day.

    On a more personal note, I own a home in Brockton, Massachusetts where I have lived for ten years. I am a die hard New England Patriots fan, enjoy movies, music and my pets (currently five cats, a parrot and a goldfish). I love nature and quiet moments of reflection.

    Custom and personalized orders

    Most of the products handcrafted by Brighter Day artists can be customized by color, name and design. Simply contact us with the information.

    Gift wrapping and packaging

    Given the fragile nature of ceramics, all items are carefully wrapped and packaged with protective materials (i.e. bubble wrap, air pockets, peanuts). Gift wrapping is not available.

    Wholesale availability

    Brighter Day is happy to accommodate wholesale buyers. Please contact us directly.

    Care instructions

    While our ceramic products are functional, they are still fragile and need to be handled with care.
    All materials are lead free and food safe. Glazed items are non-porous and therefore microwave and dishwasher safe. However, we recommend washing by hand to extend the life of the item.
