5 out of 5 starsGreat customer service ! Reassured me after my purchase auto sent to the wrong address. The earrings are wonderful and I’ve had many compliments😊 tricky to get on so I uncurled them a bit and they went right in and pinched them back. Great fit! Not to tight or too loose!

5 out of 5 starsI bought this to pair with a matching ring from Angela that I was wearing as a wedding band. Now I've got one on either side and they frame my vintage cathedral-set engagement ring really nicely! I'm very pleased!

4 out of 5 starsRing is nice quality. Seller shipped quickly. I did matte finish which seems to have a hint of yellow to it with the white gold. That may be because I am used to white gold with rhodium.

Frequently asked questions
What's the best way to figure out my ring size?
There are many types of inexpensive ring sizing tools available for purchase online. I recommend purchasing a couple different styles to cross check the sizers against each other. It's also a good idea to check size at different times of day to get an average measurement- your fingers will be bigger in the morning and when your hands are warm.
I offer ring sizers here: http://etsy.me/25LlClF.
Be aware that a ring sizer will only size you for a ring the same width, shape, and weight as the sizer you're using. Your ring size will vary depending on the type of ring you're wearing (see next FAQ).
Is ring sizing standardized? Why do some rings seem to run big or small?
Ring sizing follows the international standard shown in this chart: http://www.ringsizes.co/, though you might find that every ring seems to fit you differently! Common reasons:
➳ Fingers are larger in the morning and in the summer. Sizing can vary by a full size between AM and PM.
➳ Rings fit differently depending on width and style. Bands/sets over 3mm wide take up more space on the finger, so they create more friction and will feel tighter than a narrow ring in the same size. Your finger size is also usually not the same all the way up your finger, which is an important factor with stacking sets.
➳ Rings with stones (esp. engagement rings) are commonly undersized by at least 1/4 size. Do not base your regular ring size on your e-ring.
What should I know before choosing white gold?
Though white gold is popular, it's not ideal for many wearers, as the standard alloy for white gold in North America contains nickel. Up to 1 in 8 people are allergic to nickel, or will develop an allergy after exposure. Most nickel-based gold has been banned in the EU under the EU Nickel Directive. While I use a proprietary alloy that complies with the EU directive, it does still contain nickel.
North American white gold can also yellow over time with chlorine exposure, so it should never be worn while swimming or bathing.
If you have metal allergies, message me for palladium white gold alternatives. Palladium white is hypoallergenic and color stable, though cost will be 10-20% higher than standard white.
Do you use rhodium plating on your white gold?
No. Because the low-maintenance longevity of pieces is important to me, I use an ultra-white alloy for my white gold pieces WITHOUT rhodium plating.
Please note that rhodium plating is the industry standard for larger-scale, North American retailers, and the practice is rarely disclosed. If you're concerned about color matching your engagement ring, unplated white gold may not be your best choice, unless your e-ring is vintage or was also artisan crafted.

I'm in Austin. Do you do local delivery or pickup? Do you sell in local brick and mortar stores?
No, I'm sorry, I don't do local delivery or pickup. My studio isn't zoned or insured for commercial visitors, and local pickup voids many payment processor protections. All items must ship by trackable post.
I do not sell in brick and mortar stores. Since every one of my pieces is made to order, and my prototypes are usually pre-sold, I don't carry pre-made stock for display or try-on. If you're in Austin, and prefer an in-person buying experience, convo me and I'll help you find what you're looking for from a full-service jeweler in town.
Is there a warranty on your items?
Yes, all non-vintage items carry a lifetime warranty for repair or replacement. Please see my Policies page for details: http://etsy.me/26ntZEm
Do you include a metal purity stamp or maker's mark on your pieces?
Unpatterned rings with flat inner band surfaces of 1.5mm or wider are marked 14k, 18k, 22k, or 24k for gold or .925 for sterling, along with my federally registered maker's mark (USPTO Reg. Nos. 5353876 & 4458096, 87745229).
In accordance with the US Stamping Act, purity stamps must be accompanied by a maker's mark; it cannot be omitted if the item is purity stamped. However, if you'd like all markings omitted, please include your preference in your note to seller at checkout.
Bands narrower than 1.5mm, full-round, or patterned bands are difficult to mark without marring the outer surface of the band. However, if you'd like your piece marked and signed, without regard to possible surface marring, include your instructions at checkout.
I'm looking for a wedding band to match my engagement ring. Do you offer a matching service? Can I get a sample?
I'm always happy to look at photos of your engagement ring to help you select a matching wedding band. You can send photos or links to me via Etsy's messaging system.
If you're looking to match a specific band height, width, or shape, I commonly create custom bands in solid 14k, 18k, 22k, or 24k gold.
You may also choose to have a sample made in low-cost sterling silver, brass, or copper. Samples are not returnable, but the cost of the sample will be deducted from the price of your gold band, should you decide to purchase it from brightsmith.etsy.com.
This blog post, with lots of sample photos, might also help you match your engagement ring: www.brightsmithsilver.com/blogs/news/132814595
Care instructions
Jewelry should not be worn where it will be subjected to impact or moisture, such as while exercising, swimming, or bathing. Trapped soap residue creates an environment hospitable to fungal growth.
Nickel-based white gold can yellow over time with chlorine exposure.
Special care should be taken with patinas on blackened or firestained items. Patinas will fade with exposure to abrasion (rubbing) and moisture. Repeated exposure to hand sanitizer will make patinas fade especially quickly.
Wetting a Welo opal may cause it to lose its fire. Color can return once dry, but soap residue or impurities in the water will cause permanent discoloration.
Mother of pearl is not a stone but an organic material. Do not subject to heat or chemicals.
What's the difference between white gold, palladium white gold, and 950 palladium?
Since gold is always naturally yellow, a white metal must be alloyed with the gold to make it white.
By North American standards, 14k white gold is an alloy of nickel + 58% yellow gold. I use a proprietary ultra-white alloy that has a bright but creamy undertone without rhodium plating.
Palladium white gold, the European standard, is an alloy of yellow gold + palladium, a platinum-family metal. It's nickel-free, hypoallergenic, and has a darker, creamy undertone than my standard white gold. It contains 58% gold at 14k.
950 palladium is a platinum-family alloy. It contains NO gold and has a steely-gray undertone. It is the best color match for platinum. "950" indicates a 95% pure palladium content. It is nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
