ABOUT THE WOVEN SASH BELTS…
These Fair Trade Guatemalan textiles were hand woven in the 1980's… and are currently available in over 60 different unique & distinct color designs.

NOS, New Old Stock, fabric belts can be worn as sash belts with your gypsy bohemian style clothing and boho chic fashion wear... for special occasion events such as Reenactment Clothing for Renaissance Fairs, LARP Costumes, Music Festivals and Burning Man Fashion statements. They can also be used to make obi sashes or kimono belts… hat scarves or head bands… guitar or drum straps. Use them as embellishments, decorative trim, house decor… or for any other limitless crafty project your imagination would like to create with them.

ABOUT THE TAGUA NUT JEWELRY…
Hand crafted by me with an eco-friendly renewable 'petrified' wood from the Amazon rain forest... A nut of many names, tagua grows on the edge of the rainforest on a palm type tree in a cluster formation called ‘cabeza’ (head) and when the nut ripens, it simply falls to the ground. Harvested & dried over a period of three plus months. Under its brown skin lies a beautiful natural white "ivory" like material… hence the reason it's also known as 'vegetable ivory'. No animals were harmed - it's totally yummy & vegan.

About

For the Love of Animals

Inspired and excited by the Mission of Team EFA, Etsy for Animals, I joined this group in 2009 and opened Brizel4TheAnimals to focus this shop on fundraising for animal charity. Currently, this shop donates a minimum of $10 each month to The Whiskers Syndicate with an overall 10% donation of its yearly sales. Donating part of this shop's profit to animal rescue brings extra meaning to every sale and we thank each client for making a difference possible one purchase at a time.

Brizel4TheAnimals' shop shares with you three different product lines...

An extensive collection of handwoven sashes from Guatemala. These sashes are hand loomed vintage / new old stock cotton fabrics reclaimed from Las Manos, a fair trade business which commissioned their creation directly with Guatemalan weavers during the 1980's. Two decades later when they closed their shop doors, I was able to acquire & rescue these woven gems from otherwise uncertain fate. Today, I continue to make these sashes available to the public… not only to preserve a noteworthy weaving tradition in Guatemalan textiles but also to bring their functional beauty into your lives.

Equally colorful, handmade jewelry crafted from tagua nut. This is an eco-friendly renewable 'petrified' wood from the Amazon rain forest... a nut with many names, it grows on the edge of the rainforest on a palm type tree. This gorgeous wood, also known as vegetable ivory, is sustainably harvested & dried over a period of three months. Under its brown skin lies a natural all white ivory-like material which can be stained in a wide range of colors. Tagua has been traditionally used for small carvings, tool handles and also for button making. Today, the bead industry has made it possible for jewelry makers to put their creative ideas to work. I hope you will find something you'll love amidst my offerings.

Also available here are homegrown seasonal organic products from my land, Twilight… Bearded iris rhizome bulbs for your garden; raw fruit wood sticks for your rodent pets; and edible dried lavender.

Brizel4TheAnimals is a one person business- every aspect is handled by me. Thank you for your patronage !

Zippy Zip, aka King Zip, because he slew a rattle snake at my front door ten years ago. Abandoned by a neighbor, 'White Cat' found his way up to Twilight and asked if he could stay… its now been 15 yrs.

WhisPurr was surviving at the local gas station until I spotted him there a number of years ago. He was very outgoing, gregarious & obviously needed a new home… so he's here now supporting my efforts <3

Payment
There are currently two ways to process your payments- 1- through Paypal or 2- through Etsy's Payments system. If you wish to make your payment via mail, I am happy to accept a money order from the post office. Please Contact Me so that I may set up that third payment option for you.

The speediest way to check out is with items from my shop only in your cart then pay for them through Paypal. You do not need a Paypal account in order to pay through Paypal's secure system... you can select that method and check out *as their guest* paying with your credit card. Your Paypal payment enables me to access your purchase funds immediately & get your package out in the mail within a day or so.

Etsy's Payments system is more diverse because it has more options but payments may take longer to process with their third party processor. If you choose to check out with multiple shops at the same time OR you select something else than Paypal - your payment will go thru via Etsy Payments and may take up to 48hrs to process... sometimes longer.

Either way… I appreciate your purchase and I will be in touch once your payment has cleared to give you a ship out date which will be approx. 1-2 business days after the payment has processed.

PS... If your shipping address is within California... a 7.25% tax will be automatically added to your invoice.

PPS... ALL SALES ARE FINAL Items may not be returned due to a change of heart or mind. If you have any concerns or questions about a product- pls address them *before* you make a purchase to make sure they meet your requirements... Contact me for assistance so that I can help you find what you need. It is my pleasure to do so.
