Welcome to Brown County Forge! - We specialize in hand-forged decorative wall hooks perfect for hanging coats, keys, boat oars, and more!
All work is handmade in our shop in southern Indiana.
Terran Marks, the blacksmith at Brown County Forge, has been swinging hammers at hot metal since 2011.
Each piece in the shop goes through many steps from raw steel to finished product before it meets Terran's approval. Care and attention to detail balanced with a love of rustic, rugged textures are the name of the game.

Keeping the blacksmithing tradition alive.
In January 2011, I went down to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to do a work/study at the John C. Campbell Folk School. I came out of that wonderful experience nine weeks later with a set of basic blacksmithing skills and a fire to pursue it as a craft.
I bought a small propane forge and a piece of railroad track for an anvil and started creating. Brown County Forge here on Etsy is a showcase of the things I've done and what I create as I move forward.
