About

Hand-drawn art pieces created to bring a classic charm to your everyday.

Bruna Mebs was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she was introduced to the art world at a very young age by her grandmother Carli Portella. But life took her in a different direction, and Bruna soon found herself working as costume designer for film and TV. It took 5 years of working in the fashion industry and a degree in fashion design from FIT for her to discover that her real passion lies in illustration. Since 2015 Bruna has launched her own design studio where she became known for her ink drawings and watercolor paintings. An old soul at heart, she draws inspiration from period movies, antique shops and old books. After spending some time in NYC and LA, she currently resides in PA with her husband and bulldog Achilles.

Frequently asked questions
Portraits- Sizing details

Drawing will be sized to fit nicely on paper. Depending on your photo I will choose landscape or portrait layout.

Portraits - Returns and Exchanges

I love what I do and people say I do a great job! I try to please all my customers not only because I take pride in painting but also because this is my living. If for some reason you are not satisfied with the finished painting please let me know and I will try my best to fix it for you. But because of the time it takes for me to do a custom portrait I cannot afford returns. No exchanges on custom work. Thank you for your understanding.

Prints - Packing & Shipping, Shipping Damages

All orders ship flat, and are packaged in acid-free, protective cello sleeves, cardboard backing and sturdy rigid mailers.
All prints should be shipped within 1 week of ordering.
Shipping Damage:
In the very sad event of shipping damage, please contact me directly via Etsy to arrange a refund or replacement of the damaged item. You will be asked to provide photos of the damage for insurance purposes before a refund is issued, so please don't throw the piece or the packaging away!

Care Intructions

Prints are created and packaged using acid-free, archival materials. As with all artwork, direct sunlight should be avoided to protect the work from fading. When handling the work, try to hold it by the edges of paper to minimize any transfer of oil from your fingers. If using tape to mount to a mat, use of an acid-free artist's tape is recommended.
