I marvel at the skilled and thoughtful details -i.e., shading with various colored fabrics and prints. I wake up everyday to this quilt on my wall and it puts a smile on my face. I am SO happy with this purchase!

Simply, I cannot be any happier. Her artistic talent and detail to workmanship just makes it a truly a beautiful piece. It hangs in my runaway from home house, that is my feel good space. Every time I look at the Blue Jay piece, it makes me smile, feel good, and lucky to enjoy one of Barbara’s art quilts. My Etsy Shoppe
I opened my shop in Aug. of 2012
I went to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and majored in Graphic Design. Art has always been my focus and when I was raising my family I began to quilt. I started with traditional
quilts but soon switched over to art quilts. This is where I found my passion. I love the textural quality of art when done in fabric and enjoy working in this medium.
You will see that I am influenced by my surroundings. Growing up in Wisconsin and living out in the country contributed to my love for nature, wildlife and the small farm. This is dairyland and you will see that depicted in many of my landscapes.
I have done commission work for hospitals and nursing homes in Illinois as well as to the private collector, so if you do not see something you like please feel free to contact me for a custom piece.

I grew up in Wisconsin and have always loved small-town life here in Sheboygan. I went to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and majored in Graphic Design. I began to quilt first traditionally but later I found my niche in art quilting.
