I started Bub Modern to get a little more control over my life and what I make, I set out bright eyed wanting to explore different mediums and techniques, but it all just leads back to me wanting to blow glass. The process stuck its hook in me and hasn't let go, and its not just going through the motions. The thing that drives me is the insane level of difficulty that goes into it. It's never the same, it's never easy, and it'll always leave you frustrated. I want nothing more in life than to perfect this craft, it'll never happen, but it's the journey towards perfection that keeps me motivated. I don't think I'll ever stop.


Why Bub?

I can promise you that every single thing we make is made by our hands and not outsourced to the cheapest manufacturer. Every single worker here lives and breathes Bub Modern, and while we might not be an actual family, each of us knows each other better than we know ourselves. But bear with me, we're not exactly dealing with the A-Team here.(It's just me)

Our Mission

Our(it's just me) mission is to design and create decor that I love and believe in, things that I'd want displayed in my own home. I like to fancy myself as an interior maker, that may sound like nonsense, but I'm making objects for people who are taking back the idea that art and decor made by the hands of artisans, are better than the mass produced shit on the market.

While I might have an allergic reaction to taking bio's seriously, the one thing I do take seriously is my craft. I will do everything I can to make the piece you purchase as amazing and special as I can. You are directly funding this insane dream I have, and I can't thank you enough.
