My name is Maria, I live in the UK and I've always had weird surnames that people misspell.

I opened my shop in 2009. Since then, I've changed professions and moved countries, but illustration and handmade remain my favourite things to do.

When my dad passed away last year, I made it my mission to focus on art more. It was my way of healing and somehow carrying the legacy over (although I could never compare myself with him).

I draw unexpected heroines and their fuzzy side-kicks, stuff related to cake, cats, silly comics and whatnot. My work is not everybody's cup of tea but I like that. I don't take myself seriously and you can see that through my art.

From time to time, I create quirky illustrated jewellery. With each piece I make I try to tell a story, be it classic and wonderful or modern and cheeky.

When I don't craft, I read, watch too many YouTube videos or eat cake.
