Resin and Wood Nature Jewelry Featuring the World's Flora.

BuildWithWood pieces are one-of-a-kind wearable nature features made from laser cut oak, resin, and the amazing variety of the world's flora. I'm a native Michigander living in Chicago, so many of my specimens are foraged from the midwest, and I especially like to celebrate our native species!

I especially focus on the bizarre and eccentric details in nature that normally go unnoticed- but deserve to be highlighted. Things like spore patterns on the underside of fern leaves, or the branching structure of a Pixie Cup lichen formation are generally more interesting to me than showy flowers. Each piece is 100% handmade by me in my home studio, and one piece can take weeks to complete.

My appreciation of the unique aspects of my subjects ultimately makes my pieces more significant to me, and hopefully also to you.
Cheers!
Erin

Additional policies and FAQs
Resin jewelry is very durable under normal conditions, however, the shiny surface can be scratched by sharp objects or dented by pressure, so it's best to store them individually. To keep plants from eventually fading, try to store them out of direct sunlight. If the surface collects smudges or fingerprints, just polish it back to a shine with a cotton cloth. It's best to keep them dry and out of extreme temperatures. Resin can become slightly malleable if heated, however, it will return to it's normal hardened state once it cools.

If your item is a gift and you want to add a message, convo me and I'll make it happen.
