Announcement   Thanks so much for visiting my Etsy store. :0)

For Mother's Day gift ideas, just type 'Mothers Day' into my store search; same goes for 'birthstone', 'Spring', 'Summer', and color choice. If you're looking for a custom piece, or have any questions, just send me a message and I'll get back to you right away.

My handmade glass acorns, cherries, drops and globes are created with Italian or German soda lime glass at the torch using an "off mandrel" technique (meaning they are essentially a solid drop of glass with only one hole), and then annealed in the kiln over night. I use real acorn caps on my glass acorns, preserving them with a light sealing of museum quality wax. No two are alike. Just a reminder that unless the listing specifies 'ready to ship', each of my glasswork pieces is made by me and me only, one at a time, by hand, and are 'made to order' - meaning I don't start to make them until after they are ordered. It typically takes 7-14 days to complete each order. Please keep this in mind when ordering. Also, to anyone making large orders or having their orders sent overseas, please please consider buying insurance through USPS. It is not at all expensive, and so worth it in the unlikely event your order is lost or damaged as it makes its way through customs, various postal sorting offices and many different hands and modes of transportation. I provide a link to USPS insurance in my store.

Again, let me know if you have any questions or special requests before, during or after ordering and I will do what I can to help you out. If you're interested in designing your own acorn or customizing one I already make, just drop me a line.

Thanks again for your interest and support!

On the vintage supply side of my store....

...unless noted, all metal items are true vintage (not reproduced "new vintage" findings). The gorgeous Patina found on my components were produced naturally over time-some may have more patina than others.
...components will be shipped in the original condition they were found (meaning some may have dirt and/or oily residue). Clean up is easy and I can offer suggestions if you send me a convo, but I wouldn't recommend taking away the aged patina finish~why would you want to? It's the unique and unusual quality that only "true" vintage provides.
...many times I have additional quantities from what you see listed. If you would like a larger amount just send me a note with your requests and I can set up a reserve listing just for you (this is a great way to save on shipping costs as well :0)

Thanks for visiting!

All of my one of a kind glass acorns, cherries, drops and gum balls are made with Italian or German soda lime glass, created at the torch using an "off mandrel" technique - meaning they are essentially a solid drop of glass with only one hole. After the acorns are annealed in the kiln over night I use real acorn caps to top them off giving them a light sealing with museum quality wax. No two are alike.

Your acorns and cherries will come gift boxed and can arrive with a special note-per your request.

It takes an average of 14 days to complete each order, as my glass acorns and cherries are made to order, and typically another 3-5 days to ship within the continental U.S. (7-10 days outside of the U.S.) Please keep this in mind when placing orders. :0) If and when I'm able to extend my studio hours, I will consider 'rush' orders at an extra cost of $10 per item - just ask if you're interested in this option. :0)

***

From 'Peter Pan' by James Barrie:

"Now," said he, "shall I give you a kiss?" and she replied with a slight primness: "If you please." She made herself rather cheap by inclining her face toward him, but he merely dropped an acorn button into her hand, so she slowly returned her face to where it had been before, and said nicely that she would wear his kiss on the chain around her neck.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept Paypal and Etsy Direct Checkout, both easy to use and confidential.
Shipping
I use USPS shipping as my carrier and provide delivery confirmation on each package. You may want to consider buying postal insurance through USPS. The cost is usually pretty low (starting at $1.65) so I recommend it to all our international customers who are more likely to have shipping issues like loss, damage or delay. I have a link in my store if you're interested: www.etsy.com/listing/205469099/shipping-insurance

Within the US shipping costs begin at $2.50 for the first item and $.50 for each additional item thereafter. International shipping begins at $9.00 and is $1.50 per item thereafter.

Larger items will have shipping charges appropriate to size and weight of package.

I am not responsible for loss, damage or delay caused by postal services.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason you are unhappy with your order please contact me within 7 days of sale. You can return the order to me for a full refund (less shipping costs). I am not responsible for loss, damage or delay caused by postal services. I will provide tracking numbers so you can track the course of your package as it makes its way toward you, and if there are any delivery problems you can use these same tracking numbers to follow up with the USPS. If you are concerned with potential delivery loss, damage or delay, please consider purchasing postal insurance.
