5 out of 5 starsJust downloaded the pattern for the circular needle holder, so I haven't had a chance to make it as I know I need to buy some supplies. The list of supplies is at the beginning of the pattern, which is nice. It also has a lot of pictures in addition to written directions. I'm looking forward to sewing one of these at a future date.

5 out of 5 starsSo cute! And very well made. For size reference it doesn't fit a 250g cake (I wasn't expecting it to, but tried just in case 😄) but it fits perfectly my Yarn Jeannie spindle when I'm not using it - really useful if you have a couple on the go for different projects. The poppers to close it are nice and sturdy. Very happy, thank you!

Hello Charlotte, thank you for sharing your photo. These are made specifically for 100g cakes of yarn. If you would like one for a 250g cake, please do contact me and I can custom make one for you. Kind regards, Antonia

BumpyYarn Information
What does pure wool mean?
Pure wool = scratchy? No! Pure wool simply means that the wool was obtained from living sheep by shearing, the sheep was sheared and survived!
Merino wool, which is widely regarded as "soft", is also pure wool. The term pure wool has nothing to do with scratchy or non-scratchy. All types of wool that I offer contain pure wool.
If you want information about the softness and thus the fineness and quality of wool, you have to know what level micron the yarn is.
The "micron number" provides information about the quality of the processed wool fiber.
What does micron mean?
A micron corresponds to a thousandth of a millimeter and indicates the fineness of the wool fiber. Ranging normally between 18-35.
The higher the
BumpyYarn Info Continued
The higher the micron value, the coarser the fiber. The lower, the finer. Extra fine is wool that is between 18-21 microns. For wool that is to become something hard-wearing (e.g. socks), the number of microns should be higher (between 24 and 28).
Please remember, with all Super Wash yarns, they have a tendency to grow once washed. This is a natural occurrence. When knitting a garment, please remember to follow the pattern, swatch and follow gauge, then wash and block the swatch so you can see how the yarn grows.
We recommend hand washing all yarns gently and blocking into shape, dried flat.
