Life is continual creation!

My story? Huh! It's hard to write while I am still creating it. Making stuff has always been my fun, since I could hold a crayon. I always made my gifts as a kid. Not knowing what I wanted to do in life, I went to college for a job that would pay the rent, and leave me free to explore without pressure. What a wild, fun ride that has been for me! I explored singing and acting and expanded into sewing. I made costumes and fabric creations for sets for Broadway, Feature films and TV as well as private customers. Great fun til the kids were born. Both my kids have grown up way more creative than me.

Now in my 60's I've landed on jewelry making, although I can't land on one media. I am so inspired by other artists in polymer clay, wire wrapping, resin, glass, etc. Flitting from media to media and mixing each up seems to be my path these days. I get to go back to my 60's roots with the macrame owls, and the little bit I knew of crocheting back in my 20's. But polymer clay has so many dimensions and keeps drawing me back. I hope to get as sharp with it as the other artists I follow.

I have figured out how I work, though. Some artists start with a design, and go about creating what they envision. I start from a hoarder perspective. I look at all my beads, wire, fabric and the old jewelry and artifacts I have gathered and something inspires me. As I create, the piece evolves, most times in different directions than my original concept. I love that! As such, no 2 pieces are exactly alike. And creating something the buyer wants is so exciting. Of course, I agonize over whether it will capture my buyers vision, but so far, knock wood, I've gotten nothing but praise.

I'd love to work with you so I hope you try me some time.

Thanks,
Carole

I'm so glad you are here, checking out my shop.I promise to continually surprise you with new and unique designs and materials, so keep coming back. The pieces in my collection, all made by me with influences sometimes by my teenage daughter, are one of a kind. Custom orders or repeats are welcome as long as you keep in mind that there will be little differences in each. Sometimes I use recycled vintage jewelry, sea glass and other finds. Those will be as you see them. Trust that I take extreme care with all my creations to make sure both you and I are happy with the results.

Thanks
