Burned Furniture on Etsy
Continued thanks to artist Ariel Kotker
who introduced me to Etsy.
I happily spend most of my spare time using wood-burning tools to decorate both wooden furniture and housewares here in my studio. The pieces I decorate are either found or purchased. My favorite sources for unfinished wood includes certain Etsy shops and also certain local church thrift shops. I also have amassed a number of salvaged boards, rescued from scrap piles and waiting to be turned into the perfect cutting board or custom sign. Frequently used tools include sand paper, files, small hand saws, exact blades, and wood burning pens with varied tips.
Each piece, depending on size and type of wood, can take from several hours to many days or months to complete. Additionally, every piece which can be used with food (cutting board, utensil, plate, bowl) will be finished with hard drying food safe bees wax and citrus oil.

A shipping notification will be sent to you via Etsy to the computer address with which you provided them, as soon as your package has been shipped.
VAT and other international taxes:
To cooperate with the law, Customs forms filled out by me will reflect exact purchase price.
If your country, or the country you want your purchase sent to, charges VAT or other taxes to recipients, payment of these fees will fall to the recipient of each package. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
If you order an item which is already in the shop, it will be shipped within two business days of your payment being received.
A small custom order (such as a spoon set or a frame) can take up to three weeks to create, (though often I can have them ready much sooner if I'm not swamped with orders..) and will be subsequently shipped to you within two days of completion, if not sooner.
Larger custom orders (plates, trays, rolling pins) can take up to 4 weeks or longer to complete- see my listings or feel free to convo me for a more specific time estimate for your order.
I do my best to keep buyers of custom or made to order pieces informed with progress notes (usually sent on Sundays/weekend) and will also do my best to give an estimated finish date for any custom order, as well. If by chance an order is taking longer than anticipated, I will communicate this ASAP.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my shop policies-
