Announcement   My number one goal is for my work to put a smile on your face. I like to work with bright colors, and I strive to achieve clean, well made items that are unique and fun but also useful. I design, crochet, and knit unique accessories and have started making home goods, pet accessories, and children's items such as crochet blankets, toys, slippers, and animal ear warmers. My products range from crochet pizza blankets to giant crochet donut floor pillows to narwhal applique dog sweaters to crochet hair barrettes. I've always been insanely crafty but have over the past 2 years really honed in on what I've wanted Bury Me in Leaves to become. Providing quirky, handmade, and adorable items made from quality yarn and supplies is hard work but the reward of seeing someone smile is always magnificent!

any questions you may have, feel free to ask

Hello! Welcome to bury me in leaves, here to keep it cute and keep it handmade! Take a look; feedback is welcome and encouraged.

My name is Heidi. I started sewing at a young age after becoming obsessed with my mother's creations. She made most all of my clothes when I was younger, as well as my dolls' clothing. She is the one who taught me how to sew by hand. I taught myself to use the sewing machine, and I'm still learning on perfecting the quality and look of my sewing. I was in the Crafts Dept. at VCU for a year. Here I learned tapestry, jewelry making, felting, weaving, and basket making. I am obsessed with textiles, paper, and handmade things.

I am very interested in music, local bands, local shops, and local diy-ers. I like autumn, zines, knitting, potlucks, bike rides, hanging out with my friends, playing apples to apples, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and enjoying a good porchsit.

Feel free to message me and talk! I adore meeting new people!

Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be completely happy with your purchase, but I know that sometimes that does not always happen. Please keep in mind that each computer monitor shows colors differently than the next and I always do my best to explain each item, therefore I cannot accept returns based on color differences caused by computer monitors. For any other reason, please contact me within 24 hours of delivery and we will discuss the issue and arrange for a return or exchange if necessary. Once we agree upon a return/exchange, I must receive the item back within 5 days and in the exact condition in which it was sent [i.e. no smells, not stretched/torn/ripped/twisted, no human or pet hair, no stains or holes, etc.] I will then issue a full refund. I am unable to offer refunds on custom orders or items that have been used. It will be your responsibility to pay for return shipping at this time, though I hope in the near future to change this and it will be amended here at the time of change.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have any questions about anything, feel free to send me a message. I will do my best to answer any and all questions that pop into your noggin!

I do NOT design my items with children in mind. I do tend to make very colorful, whimsical items, but I am not responsible for any mishandling of products once they leave me. My target audience is lady birds ages 15-40 so please use your best judgment and be responsible when buying for children. If you have any concern that they could be hurt somehow or break an item, I'd advise not to purchase it for them specifically. My unofficial policy for my items is ages 12 and up, but since there is no way to enforce this, please make sure you read descriptions carefully before you buy. As always, you can always feel free to message me, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible almost always within 24 hours.

I am not opposed to doing custom orders, if you have any offers or questions about me doing a custom order for you, feel free to ask; however, if i decline, please do not take it personally. When making handmade items it can take a bit of time, and I do have a full time job which may either prolong your customized request or obligate me to decline doing it all together.
