Right now it is too cold to wear this wonderful pullover.... unfortunately..... It looks great and it fits as if you made it just for me! Thank you so much! As soon as it gets warmer I will wear it with pride. It is so special!

These buttons are exactly as pictured on the web site; my only regret is that there aren't more of them...smiles!

kathrin kneidl's buttons are always well built, interestingly constructed, and fairly priced. These 6 "D"arling buttons are certainly all that. But such a description is cold and in no way conveys the beauty and life of these buttons. Delicate surface relief is revealed and enhanced by glazes of soft baby blue over eggshell white and gold script adds warmth and glimmer. The orange border gently highlights and envelopes the whole. Nothing is overstated and nothing is superfluous. These are truly special buttons and each is one of a kind.

The Essentials coming slowly in

All the sweaters in this shop have been moved to:

I have
recently rediscovered my love for spinning luxurious fibers and the knitting of exclusive sweaters. there will also be linen knits and hopefully much more but first and foremost I would like to mention how important it is to me to make garments that last.

I can say with the greatest confidence that hand spun sweaters last as long as you can stand them and far beyond.
In my early days in fashion school in Berlin I discovered spinning coincidentally through a classmate that had made herself a marvelous huge sweater from soft shiny mulberry silk with a huge dragon head in the back. All she explained she had spun and dyed by hand. I had never seen any garment so beautiful.

The same year I begged, borrowed and (no I didn't steal) to buy my own spinning wheel. Not the one in the picture. I had to leave this first spinning wheel behind in my years of travel but now I am back at it and loving every minute.

Some of the sweaters I spun, dyed and knitted back in the mid eightieths I dragged along with me all those years around the world and back and believe it or not my teenage daughter is wearing them with great pleasure.
