Announcement   Summer is on it´s way - but no need to stop knitting! Move on to light cotton yarn and try out linen as you create your own wardrobe! Happy Summer Knitting!

In my Etsy store you will find unique hand knits and original knitting patterns all created and designed by me. As I come form a family with long traditions for handy crafts I am now selling some of my mother's and sister's beautiful needlework too. Norway, where I live and work, has a proud knitting heritage, and you will see the influence of that in my designs!

To me designing knitwear is all about making something beautiful, something unique that I can’t just buy off the rack. As many knitters, I learned to knit as a child and made up my own things like knitted toys and garments. For many years knitting didn’t get my attention but as I started to study, and later on work, I found knitting to be a good outlet for my creative sides.

I have knitted my own designs since I was a girl. My designs are populare all over the world and have been published in magazines like Vogue Knitting Magazine and The Knitter. In 2013 my first book "Knit Nordic" (Collins&Brown) saw the light of day and has since been transelated into several languages! Pop in often to snap up one of my new designs when I sell off models, as I often knit only one of each.

About

By Eline it is.

I live in Norway, a country with a substantial winter where wool makes sense. I started to knit to stay warm in my on style - and I started really early developing that style. I have never stopped knitting and developing my own designs.

It all started the usual way; I learned to knit by my mom at an early age. Thanks mom!

After many years studying and working in international politics I needed to create something of my own form time to time. Knitting proved to be the only craft of mine that I could take on travels and do in airports and hotel rooms.

As so many fast knitters I ended up with more warm wooly things that me, family and friends needed and Etsy was the way to clear the knitting basket for finished projects!

Knitting my own designs has always been my favourite thing to do, and after being encourage by a publisher I started to write down my patterns to share. What a strike of luck! I have since been published in Vogue Knitting (US), The Knitter (UK) and in August 2013 my first knitting book "Knit Nordic" (Collins & Brown 2013) is available in the UK and online!

What a journey! And I have only just begun!
