Meghan McCrary

I am a graphic designer / maker currently working from my hometown of Knoxville, TN. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor Degree of Architecture. Architecture school turned out to be much different than working in an architecture office. I started missing working with my hands, building models, sketching, designing, working through a problem 100 times until I found the perfect solution. With the encouragement of my mom, I started my own business in 2010 making and selling paper items. It felt like architecture school again - working for hours on a new design that I just couldn't put down, thinking of a new product and problem solving so I could make the product as efficiently and cost effectively as possible, seeing a concept turn into a real thing from beginning to end.

When I started my business, I worked out of the back of my mom's hair salon with a table, a printer, and a cabinet full of paper. I worked after salon hours from 8pm until 4am and designed during the day. After a year, I moved my studio into a shed in my parents' backyard, then to an apartment, and later, into my very own house. My studio grew as my business grew. I started out just making paper items, and my business has since grown to include screen printed apparel, magnets, ornaments, mugs, temporary tattoos, and other gifts.

Growing up, I was always the pessimistic eye-roller of the family. My cynical greeting cards have become my most popular. You can probably also tell from my work that I love the south, puppy dogs, bright colors, confetti, and sweets.

My faithful sidekick, Lux, has become quite popular with my fans. I think some people only follow me on Instagram to see what she's up to every day. She's my muse and helps with production on occasion too!

Most of my packages fit inside a standard mailbox. If you can not be home when the package arrives, and if you are not sure the package will be safe on your doorstep or in your mailbox, consider having the package sent to your office or a PO Box. I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

If your item arrives damaged, I will offer you a refund for the item or a replacement item. There will be no additional costs to you. I may ask you to return the damaged item, but I will refund the shipping once I receive the item.

If your package is returned to me because of an incorrect address, I will offer you the option for me to send it to a new address at your expense, or I can refund your money for the item minus the cost of shipping.

Frequently asked questions

Discounts for bulk orders

Bulk order discounts are available for cards and postcards. Please send me a convo if you are interested in bulk pricing.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items are packaged in cellophane and ready to give as a gift. Paper items are shipped sandwiched between something rigid to prevent damage during shipping.

Custom and personalized orders

Paper items are printed to order and can be customized for an extra fee when you order in bulk (12 greeting cards / 10 postcards). I do not customize single cards. Magnets can also be customized for an extra fee but require 3 - 4 weeks production time. Sorry, screen printed apparel, towels, and totes can’t be customized because of the complicated process involved in making them. If you require a digital proof of your customized item, I must receive your payment before sending the proof. I will edit the design as many times as you'd like until it's exactly the way you want it. If you are absolutely not happy, I will refund your payment minus a $10-$20 design fee. Sorry, I no longer offer completely custom designs from scratch.

Shopping locally / local pick-up

I do not do local meet-ups to deliver your items. This gets to be too complicated especially during the holidays. But there are lots of great shops in Knoxville that carry my products, and I can drop off specific items for you to pick up at Nostalgia in Bearden - just send me a message!

You can currently find a selection of my products in Knoxville at Rala, Bradley's, Knoxville Chocolate Company, Fig and Company, Folly Boutique, and Nostalgia.

Wholesale availability

I work with over 50 retailers nationwide. I'm also a proud member of the Etsy Wholesale community. If you aren't on Etsy Wholesale and you're a retailer interested in carrying my products, contact me for a list of wholesale prices.

Care instructions

Screen printed items can be machine washed and dried. Wash in cold water inside out to prevent shrinking.

Mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe, but for the best results, wash by hand to prevent color fading over time.

Paper items are printed in house on a professional ink jet printer. Paper items are cut, folded, and packaged by hand. Paper items are printed to order.

All screen printed apparel, totes, and towels are hand pulled by me. Screen printing is the least perfect method I use, so some variation will occur. All screen printed items listed in my shop are already made and ready to ship.

Fabric magnets and ornaments are designed and assembled by me. The fabric is printed by a small business in North Carolina. The fabric is stocked in my studio, but the magnets and ornaments are assembled to order.

Ethical Responsibilities

I take pride in the quality of my work. I check every product before packaging it. Because the quality of the product is more important to me than creating products cheaply and quickly, large orders may take longer for me to produce (especially wholesale orders). I carefully choose the highest quality papers and apparel. All of the paper I use is acid and lignen free. I try to use eco friendly products as much as possible. "Natural" paper products are made from 100% post consumer waste, and "natural" towels are not chemically processed, color treated, or bleached. All apparel is made in the USA by companies with strict labor regulations.

If you'd like me to make a donation to your charity, please keep in mind that I work alone, and I make all of my items by hand. I can only produce small quantities of items.
