My family inspires me

Mary Jane Lane is my grandmother. She comes from a long line of seamstresses, creators and makers. Her daughter taught me how to sew when I was eight years old. As I child, I would get lost in her attic digging through treasures of home spun Scottish Herringbone, vintage patterns, lace, paintings, photos, I loved every bit of it. It inspires me to this day.

Many of my creations use materials from Mary Jane Lane's fabric collection. I create one of a kind pieces that are limited edition because I am using re-purposed,dead stock or vintage fabrics. So when the fabric runs out, that piece is history & an heirloom.

Right now my passion is hand made suspenders. I'm bringing them back, and they're not just for men. I adore the way men and women put themselves together before going anywhere in our grandparent's decade. My grandmother would dress me up and she would put on fresh lipstick before we would leave the house - even if it was to go to the grocery store.

My creations and ideas are ever evolving so please check back soon.
