After many years of working with traditional textiles, I started designing with latex in 2011, rapidly developing a range of garments that are quirky, original and created with skill, flair and attention to detail.

Now also working with leather, my new made-for-mischief range is available for immediate dispatch.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I currently accept PayPal.

I will need to receive payment before shipping or starting work on your item.
Shipping
There are many options for postage. All items are sent using a postal service that offers a reasonable delivery time and is insured (or can offer compensation) for the value of the item.

I am more than happy to offer alternative postal services at alternative prices - please contact me *before purchase* and I shall inform you of the range of options available (tracked, insured, next day delivery etc)

Please note that byMoot is not responsible for any unexpected delays or fees incurred by Customs.

**

There are strict rules on claiming for any loss or damage - in these circumstances you need to contact me as soon as possible. If you accept a damaged parcel, only you will be able to make a claim for compensation, for this reason I do not recommend that you accept delivery of parcels that are damaged in transit.
Refunds and Exchanges
It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchase from byMoot. If you are unhappy for any reason please contact me so that we can work out a solution.

If you are ordering a garment or personalised item, please take care when taking measurements. I am very happy to answer questions about measuring. I cannot exchange your item if it does not fit because the measurements were taken incorrectly.

Please note that we won't refund custom designs and made to measure items. I cannot accept any returns, please keep this in mind when you place your order. All sales are final.

Obviously I will arrange an exchange if you receive an item that differs from your order (such as incorrect colour). You will receive a garment made to your specification, so it may differ slightly from the photograph due to the handiwork. I will only make an exchange if contacted within 7 days after delivery.

If you are ordering an item made of latex:
Please make sure to read carefully my advice about latex care (in the additional information section on this page). Latex is a delicate material so therefore I won't exchange or refund any garment that was damaged due to improper care. If a problem does happen than please contact me - best with a photograph of the problem. If there is a fault with the craftsmanship I shall repair free of charge. Any other problems (eg accidental tearing) should be able to be resolved for an appropriate fee - please contact me for details.
Additional policies and FAQs
Regarding latex orders:

All garments are made to order.

The fabrication delays vary depending on whether I have the colours ordered in stock or not (average is 2 - 4 weeks plus shipping, but if you need your garment for a special event don't hesitate to send an email to see what is possible).

Please note that I am based in the UK. Shipping is of an average couple of weeks to the US.

When ordering a garment, please specify size measurements and colour(s). You can see our available colours at this address www.bymoot.com/colours If you would like advice on finding attractive colour matches, please don't hesitate to drop me an email.

** Caring for your Latex **

1) Latex is fragile. Make sure you use enough talcum powder or lubricant on the inside of the garment when putting it on and be gentle.

2) Be very careful not to get your latex garment snagged on anything, such as fingernails or jewellery, since latex can tear easily when pulled too hard

3) Latex is a natural fabric that can be chemically affected by oils (excepted silicon, which is safe!), perfume, lotions. Do not use any of those before or while wearing latex.

4) When light coloured latex (white, pink, lime...) touches metal, a chemical reaction can occur, resulting in a permanent yellow stain. Do not handle coins, wear jewels (including piercings) when wearing your latex. Remember to wrap carefully in paper or tape any metal parts (buckles, eyelets) on your garment so it won't stain when stored.

5) To shine your latex, make sure to use only products designed for that purpose (silicon polish or water based “blue milk”). I highly recommend Vivishine latex polish.

6) To clean your latex, rinse it in and out under lukewarm water. Allow to dry on a wooden or plastic hanger, powder with talcum and store in a plastic bag. If you feel your latex needs a more thorough cleaning, use washing-up liquid to remove oils and stains. Be aware that your latex will stick to itself when all the powder and oil is removed, so handle with care. Hence I recommend the use of Vivishine in the rinse water to condition and polish your latex. Please note that certain latex will retain water when washed, and take a white appearance. This is temporary and will disappear once dry!

7) Latex finish can be affected by heat, humidity and light. Always store it in a cool and dry place, away from light. I also do not recommend wearing your latex garments under extreme temperatures for an extended period.
