We want you to be happy!

We are here to create sparks of joy and inspiration. If for some reason you are not happy with our products or service, please don't hesitate to contact us so that we can sort things out.

Our vintage products are used items. Some have been around for more than a century and therefore have natural signs of use, craclings and other marks of their age. This, for us, is what makes them beautiful and special!

We always do our best to describe the condition of our products through pictures and words, so that you may get a clear idea about what you might be buying. However, if something is not clear to you, please ask before your purchase.

Returns

If for some reason you wish to return a product, we are absolutely fine with that, as long as the product is returned to us in the same condition it was sent to you.

All you have to do is to let us know within 14 days of reciving an item, and return it to us, at your own expense, within 30 days.

Shipping policy

We are happy to send our beautiful items all over the blue planet!

Unfortunately, shipping overseas is a bit pricy, but we only charge the carrier price.

The price of shipping is added automatically, according to your location. We have taken great care to set the price right, so each item added to your cart will add the right amount of extra shipping costs, according to weight and measurements.
For this reason, we normally don’t do special offers of “combined shipping”.

However, there are some exceptions, please read below.

Exceptions for combined shipping

1) If you purchase a number of plates (or other larger objects) and add a small/lightweight item we might be able to deduct its shipping cost entirely. In those cases, we will automatically give you a refund of the excess shipping cost.

2) If you buy more than eight items at the same time, we are happy to look at the complete shipping cost to see if we can combine things in a way that allows us to give you a partial refund of the total shipping.

Either way you don’t have to do anything – we will refund you if any of the above situations apply to your purchase.

Overseas packages are for the most part sent in boxes of max. 2 kg. – this may seem odd if you place a larger order and receive a number of boxes, but we have found that it is both the cheapest and safest way.

We try to use environmentally safe and/or recycled packing materials as much as possible.

All packages are sent with track and trace. For this reason, please add your phone number in the comments when ordering.

Duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees

byBuren are NOT responsible for paying any additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees and/or fees imposed (e.g. handling fees) by the destination country.

This is to make it clear to buyers that they are solely responsible for paying any additional fees.

Why is there cartoon on my package?

First of all it's got a few practical functions; to hide old barcodes and logos of what was originally in the box, as we like to reuse boxes as much as possible, and in the unlikely event the parcel gets lost and needs to be tracked down, we can tell the postal service "it's got an old Donald Duck cartoon stuck on the side ..."

We also think that it just might put a smile on the face of the people handling the box on it's way from Denmark to Japan, California or South of France, and thus they might treat the package a little more respectfully - which in turn will make its journey safter.⁠ Finally we hope it will also bring a smile to your face when you recieve the package - it surely puts a smile on ours when we pack it up! :-)
