As a young girl I became inspired by natural materials such as stones, lava, sand and glass.

Two years ago I went on a sabbatical trip. My spiritual journey took me to the land of my ancestors. It felt like coming home after a long journey. Indonesia! The people are authentic and live from day to day. Mindfull, spiritual and caring.

Many Indonesians still live according to an ancient religion, animism. Animism is the belief that everything has a soul or a spirit, like animals, plants, rocks, mountains, rivers and stars. People use magic, spells, enchantments, amulets, talismans or anything they believe helps to protect them from the evil spirits and welcoming the good spirits.

During my spiritual journey I saw that large rings with precious gemstones were sold on almost every corner in the streets of Indonesia. People believe that these rings with all kind of gemstones have mystical powers. From that moment on I was fascinated again. I read a lot about the spiritual meaning of gems. I got inspired.
