by Moon & Tide began with a love of letters. Writing - as we do it less in our daily lives - is special now. It's art. Adding our calligraphy to our new range of candles has been a dream come true. When we say our products are designed for gifting, we really mean it. Unwrapping your personalised candle will reveal special touches, little extras and mindfulness stories - and we really hope you'll love what you buy from us.

Our calligraphy prints and candles are all designed and made by hand in a little at-home calligraphy and candle studio on the edge of the English Lake District. We're a few minutes' walk from the beach; a short drive into the mountains. The landscape inspires us - you'll find us on the beach at sunrise or in the countryside at sunset when we're not at work.

by Moon & Tide began as a calligraphy service for weddings and became by Moon & Tide in 2016. We pivoted in 2020 and spent a year testing our range of wood wick candles before launching our soy candle collection in 2021.

Our wish is to inspire your days. Grab a coffee, sink into a cosy cushion, go treasure hunting (call it shopping if you like...) with our fab candles, tea lights and wax melts. Hang a custom calligraphy quote on the wall by your loo. Grin when you read it. Feel good!
