BYYA is a Ukrainian brand of exclusive clothing with an accent on craftsmanship, sustainability & diversity

BYYA is a custom-made clothing brand inspired by our clients. We have refined our products based on your wishes and reviews. Besides providing top-notch quality clothes and a customer-oriented attitude, our values are based on the primary principle of "Shop and Give Back."

I, Svetlana Yablonskaya, come from a long line of clothing manufacturers, and since my childhood, I have been exposed to this intricate process. We create fully sustainable products as we upcycle premium materials from luxurious brands. We propagate the heritage of craft traditions and compensate workers above industry standards in their location. Moreover, our brand supports dozens of professional garment makers affected by war or other socio-economic factors. We help each of them individually, as the more they are satisfied, the more care and love workers invest in the product.

I am a quality fanatic and managed to surround myself with people with similar outlooks. With a dedication to excel and the wealth of experience we have accumulated, each piece of clothing is considered an artisian project to fit your most creative desires.

You may know that the war caused civilian and financial crisis in Ukraine.
Which is why, buying any piece at our shop you're not only supporting our business, but you're helping us being busy, do the work we love, give people warmth of our hands and share passion from our hearts. You're giving us a reason to go further, get a reasonable income, and freedom.

Buying our goods you're not only help us, you help our families, friends, and many other people who are still struggling in Ukraine. You're helping Ukrainian economy to recover.

Million thanks,
Svetlana and BYYA team 💙💛

    Owner

Welcome to my world of perfect, natural and ECO friendly clothes. Once 6 years ago I'd made for my husband a knitted hat with my own hands and it became a noticeable moment of my life, when my passion changed into lovely business.

  • Yulianna

    Maker

I used to teach chemistry at the university. My teaching career ended with the coming of the war. I started knitting because it had been a passion of mine since childhood. Today I'm in the BYYA team — it's a new experience and stage in my life.

  • Vasyl

    Owner

At BYYA I'm responsible for business development. The war forced me to take urgent measures to relocate people. Organizing humanitarian aid, finding overseas suppliers, volunteer initiatives — it's just a small list of my new duties in wartime.

  • Viktoriya

    Maker

I'm a person with disabilities, I stayed in Kharkiv. I suffer a lot because my beloved cat Masyanya died from the bombing. Working at BYYA keeps my spirits up. My work is angora hats, which you can find in the store.

  • Irina

    Maker

I'm a professional seamstress, technologist, and designer from Kharkiv. Sewing is my passion and vocation. I'm also a single mother. I escaped the war in Lithuania with my 17 y.o. daughter. I'm proud of her as she's studying to be a designer.

  • Anna

    Supply Manager

I stayed in Chuguev. Since there're active military operations, I can't leave the region. Neither stores nor pharmacies work here. I met the war when I was 7 months pregnant. My son Mark was born in May, and today I'm a single mother.

  • Svitlana

    Maker

I'm 55 & disabled. Now I'm a refugee in Germany. I lived in Kharkiv on Saltovka, the most destroyed district with a population of 400,000, where there's still shelling. Before my disability, I worked as an accountant. I knit & crochet for BYYA.

  • Elena

    Maker

I'm still staying in Kharkiv with my dearest cat Murchik. My beloved grandson is now in Poland with his mom. I miss them very much. Working with BYYA team helps me keep my mind busy and away from all this horror happening right behind my window.

  • Alla

    Maker

We're forced to leave our city because of war. It happened too fast, I didn't even have time to take the knitting needles. We're now in Poland now. I hope we'll be able to return home. And I'll go back to my knitting. Girls, I love you all! Hold on!

  • Galina

    Maker

Knitting clothes & toys turned in a work of my life. I'm knitting for 45 years. In 2014 my mother town was occupied so I moved to Kharkiv to my son. Since war started here I had to move again. Work helps me stay confident no meter where I'm staying.

  • Natalia

    Maker

I always knitted. I was able to contact with high-quality things of such brands as Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, Escada, Valentino, & Sonny Rykiel. I hope to travel a lot more and do a lot of beautiful things made with the soul. I wish all of us peace.

  • Zina

    Maker

I continue to work in Poland now. I helped my daughter-in-law & 4 y.o. grandson leave the occupied territory for the Czech Republic. My son stayed in an active combat zone. My work gives me the peace of mind I need & confidence in the future.

  • Oksana

    Maker

I'm 31 and I have two kids. Since my daughter has troubles with health I can't "work normally". However, bills for clinics, tests & medicines need to be paid. Being a part of BYYA allows me that. I love this work. Kharkiv stands & lives.
