Looking for a watercolor, mixed media or drawing paper? Check out the "pick your paper" listings. I offer over a dozen different papers for you to choose from.
Each book in this store is unique and one of a kind. I make all book covers myself, using a process called eco printing. Flowers and leaves are boiled between layers of watercolor paper, leaving behind an imprint of the plant.
International shoppers- if you will contact me before placing your order I will give you a discount code to help offset the high costs of international shipping.
Contact me within 14 days of delivery for returns or exchanges. Ship item back to me within 21 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

5 out of 5 starsThis is my first time buying a handmade sketchbook. The nature theme of the cover is beautiful, and I love that the images are from actual flowers. As I mostly do landscapes, very fitting! And I love that I was able to select the exact paper I want. So many sketchbooks advertised on Etsy are really geared towards watercolor, and a more textured paper. But for people like me who primarily use graphite, we usually want a very smooth paper.

Working on an eco batch using dried daffodil and paperwhite leaves and stems. Layering leaves between watercolor paper. -

I have seven layers of leaves and paper bundled inside two wood planks, secured with string. -

Boiling leaves and paper in batch of hot water. Turmeric was added to water to give paper a golden color. -

An hour and a half later batch is done! Cooling off in kitchen sink. -

Beautiful! Great color and good definition on leaves. Just need to wait for paper to dry before making a book.

Hello - my name is Cathy and I love to boil flowers and leaves. Most plant material used to make my book covers is gathered from my yard. I live in Albany Oregon, where we typically have mild summers and rainy winters. Great plant weather!

Frequently asked questions
How are number of pages in your sketchbooks calculated?
Most of my books contain thick paper, and have 60 pages. With the coptic stitched books, one long sheet of paper is folded in half, becoming 4 pages. So a book with 60 pages contains 15 sheets of paper folded in half.
Can I get a mix of different papers in one sketchbook?
Yes-if the listing is under the "pick your paper" category. Please contact me before ordering to work out the details.
Can I get additional pages added in a sketchbook?
Yes-if the sketchbook is one of the "pick your paper" listings and coptic stitched. These books are not yet filled, so adding more pages is not a problem. Please contact me with selected paper before ordering for price quote and to allow me to adjust listing.
