My name is Amanda from Calico Vine Printshop. I design, handprint and hand make all my paper and fiber goods right here from the studio in my apartment.

Growing up I was always making things and exploring new ideas, starting at a young age with fabric and as I grew older leading into works on paper. When I discovered printmaking, it was a natural fit for me. Recently, I graduated from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with my MFA in Printmaking and naturally I wanted to start a printshop, so Calico Vine Printshop was born.

Taking inspiration from the world an my surroundings, my work is inspired by the natural process of life. Repetition is a consistent part of my work, whether it be using the elements of line, shape or color. As well I use line, shape, color and pattern as visual metaphors to translate my emotions and feelings onto paper.

I enjoy what I do and I hope you do too :) In my spare time I enjoy taking long walks, runs or bike rides. There is peace in the beauty of the nature that surrounds us.
