About

Working together to provide just-for-you products!

Cheyenne discovered soapmaking online in 2008 and had the complete revelation moment of "you can MAKE soap?! (insert long pause) ...oh yeah, that's right, people have been doing it for thousands of years..." (We know. Completely silly facepalm moment, right?)

After hours and hours of research came this conversation with the lovely lady who is now our boss (but who was always our Mom!) :
Cheyenne: "You can MAKE SOAP. ...I really *really* want to."
Gwen: "Then do it!"
Cheyenne: "...But getting started costs... MONEY."
Gwen: (insert kindly motherly sigh that translates to "Must I repeat myself?")

After the first batch we were hooked!

Soapmaking has helped all 5 of us all develop a passion that was already there, but that just needed some nurturing, for finding out what makes things work the way they do. And if possible, making them even better.

We believe strongly in making products that are very high quality, but also cost effective. We buy as many all-natural and organic ingredients as we can, and we do not make products that contain harmful ingredients (to you or to the environment!). We buy only from suppliers that can prove that their products are responsibly sourced, and all of our containers and packaging are recyclable.

We also believe strongly in a great shopping experience for each customer! Our first soap and lotion formulas were created for friends who said they'd always wanted something with ingredients that were added just for their needs- we'd get as many details as possible, then try to keep them involved in the entire process. We've tried to keep that tradition alive in our online shop as well- we want people to tell us what works for them, and then make it for them. We want to know what flavors and fragrances they love, and then we make products from those ideas that others will love as well. We want the people who look at our shop or try our products to feel like they had a share in making it work- it is an awesome feeling!

We hope that you'll stop by and let us know if you have a suggestion, a request for a custom order, or even a bulk order. We'll do our best to make it happen!

I stumbled onto soapmaking in 2008 when I was trying to find work that I could do from home. So began what I know will prove to be a lifelong love of handcrafting and backwards-engineering bath and beauty products!

Buyers, please note: We understand that the minis we offer are cute and easily sell-able, and that it might be tempting to grab a bunch and resell them in your shop or your brick-and-mortar shop. This is NOT authorized!

You can feel free to grab as many as you want for free giveaways or to put in goodie bags (seriously, email us, you can have a bulk price) but please DO NOT buy our products and resell them without written permission from us. Our products need to be traceable, and many legal and ethical questions come up if you resell without our consent.
