I am a one-person operation at present...well, ok, sometimes 2 when I have a little volunteer help from the kiddo. Occasionally my larger items demand an extra pair of hands.

I have a Master's degree in painting (oils specifically), and I still love to paint whenever I can. I paint everything from portraits to non-representational abstraction.

Though the tradition is very old, water marbling is a more recent discovery for me, and it just makes me happy. While the whole process may be exhausting at times, pulling the silk off the tray and seeing the bright color patterns is always a bit of a thrill.

Whether it's with oil or marbling, I love experimenting and pushing limits. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but that's part of what makes art exciting :)
