On Etsy since 2020

I am a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, and am also of Oglala Lakota and German ancestry. Cutting into each unique stone of turquoise is an act of revealing. It is sharing a slice of the beautiful to the world, and for that I am ever grateful! Each piece of jewelry is sourced locally from rough stone from the Kingman Turquoise mine which I cut, grind, sand, and polish until the final piece manifests itself. I also work with Number 8 NV Turquoise, Royston Turquoise, and Lapis and Spiny Oyster Shell which I source from local gem shows. I enjoy creating jewelry which allows the wonder of the natural stone to present itself with little embellishment or enhancement.
My full time job is with the Hualapai Indian Tribe up on the Grand Canyon working as an Ethnobotanist. My weekend, and every bit of additional free time is spent as a lapidary and silversmith artist who enjoys chasing the beautiful in the process of creating Southwestern turquoise jewelry.
