Accepted payment methods
All orders and credit card payments are processed via PayPal only. You do not need a PayPal account to submit a credit card payment.
PayPal eCheck Customers:
If you are submitting a payment to me by PayPal eCheck, please be aware that your order will not be shipped until your eCheck payment has been cleared. Depending on your country, it usually takes PayPal 3-10 business days to process and clear your eCheck payment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you experience an issue submitting your PayPal payment, please let me know via Etsy convo and I will reply promptly.
To avoid cancellation of your transaction due to non-payment, you must complete your PayPal payment at the time of checkout.
If payment is not received at checkout time, I will contact you via Etsy convo to let you know your order transaction is not complete. If full payment is not received in three (3) days, the sale will be canceled.
CALIFORNIA SALES TAX
An 9.25% sales tax is applied during the PayPal checkout process for all California residents.

Each item arrives ready for gift giving in a black box with the Capitola Girl logo that is tucked into a coordinating gift bag.
Capitola Girl Jewelry ships to the United States, Canada and other countries. Items are promptly shipped after your PayPal payment clears, which is typically within three (3) days after payment receipt. Orders received on Friday and on weekends are shipped promptly on Monday.

WHEN ARE ITEMS SHIPPED?
Orders are shipped three (3) days after your payment is cleared as "OK to Ship" by PayPal. Typically, orders placed between Thursday-Sunday are shipped out on Mondays and orders placed between Monday-Wednesday are shipped out on Thursdays.
All orders shipping to the United States will be sent via USPS First Class Mail with a Delivery Confirmation. UPS, DHL and FedEx are shipping is not available.
All International Shipments will be sent via USPS First-Class Mail International with a Customs Declaration. USPS Delivery Confirmation and Tracking service is not available. In addition, UPS, DHL and FedEx are shipping is not available.
For current rates, see the shipping information in the item profile. For countries not listed, please contact me using the Conversation feature prior to completing your purchase.
Because international shipments are subject to customs regulations of the destination country, it is the responsibility of the buyer to order items that are in compliance with all domestic, international, and individual country rules and regulations. Buyers are responsible for all fees, taxes, and duties associated with international shipping.
Generally, items arrive within 6-10 days. However, due to differences in destination countries shipping and handling, International shipments can take up to one month for delivery. Please be aware that there is a potential for delays beyond my control prior to placing an International order.
If you believe an item may be lost in the mail, please contact me immediately.
~ For international orders, please notify me if your items are not received within fourteen (14) days of the shipment date.
~ For domestic orders, please notify me if your items are not received within ten (10) days of the shipment date.
Since items are shipped to the US with a delivery confirmation, domestic customers may track and confirm your shipments online through the United States Postal Service at:
International Customers will be provided a US Customs Form number. You may also contact your local postal officials or customs office for help locating your package.
YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS
If there is a discrepancy between the address you provided to Etsy and PayPal, I will convo you to confirm your mailing address prior to shipping your item.
If you'd like to send an item as a gift for a friend or family member, please include a note in the "Message to Seller" box at checkout or convo me with the mailing address immediately after your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may submit a return request to me within three (3) days of the delivery confirmation date. Please note that shipping costs will not be refunded.
1) You must contact me with your return or exchange request via Etsy convo within three (3) days of the delivery confirmation date.
2) You must ship the item to me at your expense with a Delivery Confirmation. I will provide you with the appropriate return address.
3) All items must be return in its original, unused condition and packaging.
4) Once the returned item is received by me, you will be refunded the item price less the shipping costs on the purchase transaction.
DEFECTS & DAMAGES
If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase due to improper construction or defective merchandise, you must submit your claim to me via Etsy convo within thirty (30) days of your Etsy purchase transaction.
When submitting a claim, please:
(1) Attach a digital photograph of the defective or damaged item along with a description of the issue in an Etsy convo.
(2) Wait for a prompt reply with next steps.
Additional policies and FAQs
Placing Items on Hold:
If you wish to place an item on hold:
1. Use the convo feature to send a request to me with a link to the item you'd like to place on hold.
2. You will be notified by me via convo that the listing will be held via a reserved listing stating your Etsy user name for a maximum of three(3)days.
3. If you do not complete your purchase of the held item within three (3) days, the item hold will be removed.
Capitola Girl does not share buyer information and she will not add your e-mail address to any lists. The only exception is in the case of non-payment, in which case Capitola Girl will report your transaction to Etsy and/or PayPal for resolution.
I do my best to see that all customers are happy with their purchases and customer service experience. If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase, please let me know about any issues you might have prior to leaving negative feedback. I'm happy to do my best to work out a solution that results in a positive experience for both of us.
