Welcome to Capsule!!!

We make handmade Steampunk and Victorian inspired Jewelry, accessories, decorations and sculptures. We offer rings, earrings, cufflinks, bracelets, tie tacks, necklaces, eyepatches, fascinators and other headpieces, goggles, mini-hot air balloons decorations and vintage items.

Véronique was born in Sherbrooke, where she stood out very early in visual arts and theater. She graduated in Graphic Design in Sherbrooke, and in Props-Scenography at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. She worked as a Props Maker on big productions at Cirque du soleil for 8 years and had the chance to travel around the world with the circus. Back in Montreal, she worked on the set and costumes for X-Men movies and opened Capsule in 2012.
Granddaughter of a watchmaker, she grew up around dozens of clocks ringing one after the other, scrutinized under the magnifier. She often asked for broken ones to play with the pieces inside. It was natural for her to recycle these pieces of time to make jewelry. She found great inspiration with the Victorian era and the Steampunk movement and spent her creativity overflow by making jewellery, costume accessories, decorations and sculptures using cogs, antique watch parts, light bulbs, cruelty free bones, lace and leather.

Welcome to Capsule!
Granddaughter of a watch and clock maker, I was fascinated by the way he was meticulous with all these tiny watch parts. I find them beautiful and thought they should be seen. I'm also a big fan of repairing things when they break instead of throwing them in the garbage, to recycle them into beautiful objects. Thats why it was natural for me to start making jewelry with watch parts. You will only find one of a kind
or limited edition designs in my shop. All my work that incorporates vintage and recycled pieces are eco-friendly. I also try to reuse boxes and shipping material to lower my environmental imprint, and the shipping cost.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Satisfaction is guaranteed! If you are not happy, for any reason, please let me know ASAP. Return is accepted only if the item is significantly different from that of the item description or if it arrived damaged. Package not arriving in time is not considered as an acceptable reason for return or refund. Please time your order wisely.

Item must be returned in its original condition to be eligible for refund. Refund payment(s) will be made after we have received your items from the mail.

All return and refund requests must be made in writing within 7 calendar days after receiving the item.

Exchange for another item is not allowed.


Buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost and shipping insurance associated with the return.

It is always the best to return an item to us by shipping via your local post office (e.g. USPS (for USA), Royal Mail (for UK), Australia Post (for Australia), Canada Post (for Canada), EMS, etc).

Any shipping paid or shipping upgrades purchased for an item(s) are not refundable.

If despite our policy you decided to ship the returning item via one of these 5 return shipping services (FedEx, UPS, DHL, FB Canada Express, Aramex ) and this shipping service charged additional processing fees or brokerage fees to the recipient on a return shipment at the door, the full charged amount will be deducted from the refund (depending on the services, this can charge you over $40 USD). This fee can be avoided if you ship the return item via your local post office as it generally does not charge additional processing fee to the recipient.

In the event the package is lost or damaged during the return shipment, the lost / damaged item is no longer eligible for return, refund, or replacement unless the buyer has purchased full insurance on the return package (to cover for the cost of replacing the lost / damaged item).


Please indicate on the shipping customs declaration that the item is a "Return Goods for Refund: Handmade Jewelry". This is really important because otherwise C.O.D. or tariff may be deducted from your refund.

The item must be WRAPPED by bubble wrappers inside its original box to ensure the item is well-protected.


Once the return request is approved by our staff, the buyer must mailed out the returning item within 7 calendar days & inform us on the date of the postage.

Please mail out the item within the approved time frame or else the item will lost its eligibility for return & refund. Because the shipping delivery time varies for different countries, we use the date the package is shipped out rather than the date the package arrives in our shop to determine eligibility for returning items.

Shipping insurance is not included when the package is shipped via regular shipping to USA and International. If you want to purchase coverage on the package, you must select a faster shipping service that offers the option of purchasing additional insurance (e.g. Tracked Packet, Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost).

Lost Package & Package Damaged In Transit:
Canada Post (the shipping carrier) may investigate claims for loss package and we ask for the buyers’ cooperation with the investigation (if any). Cooperation may include photos of the damaged packaging, damaged items, and evidence if Customs has opened the package for inspection.

Compensations / refund for a lost package or damaged package will only be issued after Canada Post has approved and has paid out the compensation for the claim. Due to the regulation of Canada Post, a lost package claim can only be filed 45 days after the item is shipped out (or 60 days in the case of international shipment). The amount paid to the buyer is limited to the compensation granted by Canada Post.

Returned Mail:
If a package was returned to us by the Post Office because there is an error / incomplete information in the shipping address provided by the buyer, the buyer failed to pick up the package from their local post office, or the buyer refused to pay for Customs fees & taxes, the buyer is responsible for and the cost associated with resending the package to the recipient (e.g. USA: $8.50, Canada: $9-$15.00, International $10 for regular shipping).

If the buyer of the returned mail refuses to pay for the shipping cost associated with re-sending the package and wish to cancel the purchase transaction, refund is only granted at the discretion of the shop manager. If a refund is granted, the original shipping plus any charges the post office charges us for returning the package to our shop will be deducted from the refund.


All packages shipped will have their actual values declared at Customs. We cannot mark off the item below value or mark items as commercial sample.

Important: An order can be declared as a gift only if it is shipped to a third party recipient (different name and last name) and the shipping address is different from the billing address. The Canada Post office does not accept insurance claim for lost package that is marked off as a gift.


Buyer is responsible for duties, tariffs, and taxes (Customs fees). Please check duties and tariffs with your country’s customs office prior to buying. Customs fee is taxes and/or duties that the destination country charges the buyer for importing a good into their country or buying from outside the country. Customs fee is not the same as shipping fee and should not be confused with shipping fee. Customs fee is not included in the shipping fee we charged.

Important note to United Kingdom Customer(s): If the total value of your order is higher than £15 (or £36 for gift), you may incur 20% VAT, 8$ Customs Fee, and / or Royal Mail handling fee, which is your responsibility. This is payable by the buyer and is not the responsibility of the seller.

If a package is returned to our shop from Customs of the destination country because the buyer / recipient of the package refused or failed to pay the Customs fee within the time frame indicated by customs, the buyer is responsible for the full cost associated with resending the package.

Want your necklace chain to be long or shorter? Tell us the length that you would like during checkout (in the message box on Etsy checkout, not PayPal) and we will adjust it for you for free!

1) Do the watch movement cufflinks and rings or pocket watch movement necklace tell time, move, wind, or function as a watch?
--> Unless specified, they do not tell time and do not move or wind (non-functional) because of the process of how we turn them into other piece jewelry.

2) Are your watch and clock movements and parts are really coming from old watch and clock?
--> Yes, all of our watch and clock movements and parts are coming from genuine antique watches dated from 1800-1930s, and clocks dated from 1930-1980.

3) Are your branded watch movement cufflinks authentic?
--> Yes, all of our branded watch movement cufflinks (e.g. Elgin, Waltham, Bulova, etc) are genuine watch movements extracted from authentic wristwatches. We do not sell any fake or replicate movement.

Please do not shower or swim with the jewelry on as it may weaken the lacquer and accelerate oxidation.

Necklace chains are made of iron & may contain nickel. If you have any special allergies to certain metal such as Nickel, please let us know prior to purchase.
