Announcement    Little Bear Illustration has our own website at littlebearillustration.com! Hurray!
This begins a slow move over and away from Etsy, but don't worry, you can still find us right here for the time being.
If you notice listings disappear over the coming weeks and months you can find them at littlebearillustration.com, as I will eventually cease to renew listings here on Etsy.

Thank you for your continued support of my beloved small business, it truly means everything to me.

Origin Story

Little Bear Illustration is named after my very own little bear, a small yet sturdy animal of questionable lineage who weaseled her way into my life and heart almost a decade ago. She is my trusted companion and together we have embarked upon many an adventure. After many years in the concrete jungle, these days we reside by the sea, taking in the fresh air and nature for inspiration.

The natural world has always been a focus in my work. Animals, their habits and habitats, the landscapes they wander, where they hide out and who they meet on their journey.

I hope you enjoy my work, please do visit my website www.littlebearillustration.com for a look at more!

So what's a giclée print, anyway?

The word giclée was adopted by printmaker Jack Duganne and has come to be associated with types of inkjet printing including processes that use fade-resistant, pigment based archival inks and archival substrates primarily produced on large format printers. These printers use the CMYK color process but have multiple cartridges for variations of each color based on the CcMmYK color model, such as light magenta and light cyan inks in addition to regular magenta and cyan. This increases the resolution and color gamut and allows smoother gradient transitions. Fine art reproduced in the giclée process will be the highest quality and most accurate reproduction of the original work. Giclée prints are commonly found in museums and art galleries.

I would have googled it if I wanted that much info, so....?

tl;dr: giclée prints are incredibly high quality, will last a really, really long time. The colors, man, the colors!
